Serious outs for Port Adelaide. If they're to win they need to run the ball through the middle and exploit Geelong's lack of pace.

Come on Geelong (shudder).

Who even has the time anymore to think about such an irrelevant club, let alone want them to lose, draw or win? They're just a speck of dust on our shoes nowadays. A team whose weekly fixture and glanced at result at the end of the round gets the mildest 'who cares' non-reaction if there ever was one. A club that deserves only 2-4 hours of my viewing time per year, depending on how the afl fixtures us. 🍷

Ok.

I guess this means after barracking hard for the hawks for the last 3 hours, I now have to do the same for Geelong for the next 3. The things we have to do!

Why are are lions equal with port. It's not like they can win at the G .

It’s not like Port can win finals… 😂

Ok.

Equate it with the hatred for Boomer, the Kangas and their win streak over us and how it's transitioned to "Oh you still exist?"

I think this may be a result of collingwood taking advantage of their position to get some heavy training in, doesn't make it any less enjoyable!

If that is the case they may end up peaking too late. You’ve got to time the tampering just right to be at optimum fitness while also training the least on prelim weekend.

If you time it right you’re both the fittest and least sore and tired you’ve been all season. But it’s quite common athletes time their run too late and peak after their event finishes. I feel it’s too late in the year to get much benefit for the risk of heavy legs in September.

The one time I’m not barracking for a Geelong loss and they come out playing like the nursing home they are

Where are all the nuffies who say you shouldn't tag anymore?

Nick Daicos has been totally ineffectual

Do you mean nuffies like our Premiership coach?

Butters destroying Geelong already

I hope when/if we play them again that we take better care of him.

Weakest Port team for the year.

Finlayson, Alir, Bergman, Jones, Dixon, Lycett and a few others out.

Not a shadow of the team that beat us in Adelaide by 4 points

Mckenzie now injured and Marshall maybe concussed.

And really, teams have to use the bye period. Too late now.

Yep. Geelong with a few key outs too.
My heart breaks.

Tagging Daicos today was a bad move by Sam Mitchell?

Yes, Goodwin should look at tagging more to stop players like Noah Anderson and Zak Butters having their way with us like they did this year.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
