So a guy who can kick and is composed, for a guy who can’t and runs around like a headless chook?

Go watch the ‘21 prelim - Smith 4 goals including clutch match winner -  Salem can kick but never uses it to hurt opposition -  consistently hits 15-20m targets - often lateral -  and doesn’t get on the park enough and will have ongoing thyroid management issues - ship him out while he’s  some value.

No.

No thanks we need a no di@#head policy at the Dees, definitely don’t want anymore unwanted attention.

Also no more players with poor disposal into the forward 50, Caleb Daniel on the other hand would be nice& half the price

Is that the same Caleb Daniel whose apalking kick out of defence resulted in Angus’ game changing goal in the 2021 GF?   He shanked quite a few.

Pretty sure he was selling tickets to some show down on the Bellarine called the Bailey Smith Experience...with a pic of him with no shirt on...your guess is as good as mine what was in the show:

I think thats a bit weird isnt it?

And he gave up chasing Langdon out of backline in the beautiful 4th quarter only to see Langdon mark and goal 20 seconds and 130 metres later.

Still would be upgrade for us.

You have conveniently forgotten the wonderful games Christian has played and been significant in the success of our team.

Our 2021 Premiership was set up by Salo’s  magnificent first quarter and indeed his whole game. That’s what makes a star on the biggest stage and shows too many people focus on the negatives of players rather than the positives.

In very rare circumstances the player sometimes requests a trade and the Club may benefit however to openly move a highly skilled and valued match winner plus great Clubman does not send a great message to other players wanting to join your Club.

Christian is often tied up with helping nurture and develop one of our up and coming stars on the side in his own time with no recognition generally until that player makes our team or wins a Rising Star nomination.

Lets saviour the great and good games Salo gives us as much as his high quality Club sprit and contributions he makes overall instead of narrowing in on his unfortunate injuries and style of play in setting up team plays where many in the game waste their talent with erratic disposal.

I’d swap out Salem and pick for Bailey in a heartbeat-  his best is A grade

I will say this again; culture.

You cannot preach about having a good culture, and then trade out a contracted Salem for Bailey Smith. Ludicrous suggestion.

He misses quite often later in matches.  Seems to start off ok.

Might be (one reason) why he's sitting on the bench or not in the starting 22 as often this season?

daniel's disposal efficiency and defensive workrate have plummeted in the last couple of years from his best seasons

it will be interesting to see where he sits going forward in the make-up of the dogs' side

Haha I actually wasn't really knocking it, I just had no idea what the heck "the Bailey Smith Experience" would entail.  Not sure why he needs a photo of him with a shirt off, maybe he stripped for part of the show??

Good on him though, why not sell some tickets to whatever that is in the meantime...I really am very curious to know what it was!

no doubt smith has plenty of talent ... when he wants to

problem is the guy is so uncommitted and unprofessional. you never know which bailey smith is going to turn up

computer says no

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
