Especially when it comes to goal kicking and delivery into the forward line

Clean quick hands through traffic and fast ball movement.
I've been impressed.
Skills and confidence have jumped with last years flag.
Stay fit and they'll romp in another one I reckon.

Should swap their coaching dept with the mens.
Love the way they play.

Seems Trac and Bont are destined to never win one despite being the best players every year and influencing games more than their peers. Both got robbed of clear votes tonight.

Trac getting no votes in the final game was stupid. Getting 1 vote for his game against the Saints was stupid.

The umpires are stupid. I’m [censored] sick of them. The umpires have determined the outcome of games this year and illegitimately shaped the entire finals series. It’s beyond pathetic and as someone who’s attending 100s of live games since the 1980s, I’m thiiiiiiis close to giving up on the sport because of their [censored] incompetence and the rules being so vague etc. Stuff this

I had to check that Bont actually hadn't won a Brownlow, because I'd sworn he had.

You can add Max and Clarry to that list that should have won one.

So the other anomalies here:

We have the best backline in the league and they only get 4 votes between them (8 at the very generous end if any of Gus's backline work counts).  Out of a total of around 90 votes.

Jake Lever gets 0 votes?

Jake Bowey 0 votes?

Seriously please take the voting off the umps.

You can understand one Ump getting it wrong but we have four talking together about the game.

That could have been Petraccas only real shot to win, Oliver missing, Daicos missed several games, Gulden and Butters will be a force next year.

The player that hid his Norm Smith looked embarrassed and didn't want to be there tonight.

I think he and everyone here would be much happier with another premiership medal around his neck.  Locky and Daicos can have all the Brownlows they want.

And for any-one who doesn't know.
The girls are flying and playing some ripping footy.
The men should watch them.

Off-topic I know, but honestly it would be so awesome and so appreciated if more Dees fans could come onboard for the girls. Even if you’ve never paid much attention to the W comp you should consider it. Now’s the best time, too. This team is an absolute joy to watch. They’re in scintillating form and the vibe at matches is always good. There’s six H&A rounds remaining, even if you just attend only one, that’d be great. And for those who don’t have W membership, a ticket is only $10.

Watch every week. The standard has improved out of sight this season.

We’re a biased lot, aren’t we? 😀

We criticise the votes on the one hand, saying umpires don’t know what they’re doing. Then we use the votes as evidence that Viney should have been AA and that he’s better than Parish. (Of course he is, but our arguments would fail year 11 critical thinking - if there’s still such a thing.)

Right???? Since its inception in 2017 the standard has improved with each and every season. But from last season to this current season the improvement is off the charts.

It’s great that people watch our matches on TV. Attending them (if possible) would be AMAZING! The girls truly appreciate the support.

Awesome! Every person who attends a W match is worth 50 people attending a men’s match. I think. Maths is not my forte, but you get my point. 😊

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

Failed to fulfill the promise of his breakout six goal effort against the Tigers in 2023 and was generally disappointing as a key forward. Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final.
