Credit to Fremantle. Not many sides can make Carlton look this good.

Looking at how this season is playing out there is no way this competition can sustain further expansion. For the good of the game if Tassie is to get a side an existing team must fold.

Go Blues

Is there anything worse than having a hundred plus thousand Bomber supporters eyeing off our fourth position.

We'd better win next week for my sanity

Essingdon won't bea Geelong at Geelong, and they won't beat Collingwood. There's two.

Why?

The AFL would be loving how the season is playing out.

Papalia is the best in the game. Actually tells me what’s happening and not what he had for lunch in 1975 when he also kicked 3 goals.

Just need Fox to work this out and give him more games.

But why when we can have Derwayne calling 3 games a week?

The marketing department is pumping up that the season is alive for so many teams but realistically we know that’s not the case. As much as a lot of people want the Suns to fold it will never happen IMO. Best case scenario is for North to fold and Tassie becomes the 18th team.

Yep fair enough. We all see things differently and I am probably in the minority but I hope both GWS and GC turn into popular teams. And I love the fact Tasmania are getting their own team, I don’t agree with them having to spend a billion dollars on a stadium though.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
