Not overs. For every good pick 2 and 3, there are dozens very ordinary ones who will never come close to being as good as Clarry.

This is all still very raw but at this point in time I’m just hoping this 2 and 3 know that homemade tattoo guns aren’t a great idea.

need to see final products, but could either be best thing ever and set us up for a decade OR be looked back on as the dumbest move of all time but seemingly Clarry has made his bed. Unfortunately

[censored] hell this was literally you last week saying the Oliver rumours were fake 🤣🤣 Screenshot_20231003_220447_Chrome.thumb.jpg.7b062ac88b8cc11d154d96c9ef6569e4.jpg

No. The list spots was just what made me ask about what was happening, as clearly something didn’t add up, as in something else had to drop first, and now we know — it’s spots to use more picks. It’s not complex champ 🤦‍♂️

Yes, the Clarry drug rumours — are you saying they’re real? Hahaha wow talk about clutching at straws, someone’s getting desperate! So what was the big news then? And how did I know this morning at 8am it was gonna drop today at 8PM?!?! Ur such a fool, sorry u turned out to look like a muppet, but that’s what you get for constantly trying to maximise your own self-worth by minimising others. Enjoy 😉

Picks 2+3 for Oliver & a later pick.

So you actually think the club will trade Clarry?

Clarry out for Reid and the choice of McKercher/Duursma/Watson/O’Sullivan in would be a very spectacular trade period!

Ballsy AF from a club that’s been lamented for its lack of dare for 3 years

And given the ri-donk-ulousness of this forum these days, next time I’ll keep it all to myself — I Mean what’s the darn point when these giblets somehow remain carrying-on even AFTER today. I thought posting this morning what was gonna come today would help alleviate this mess (and cus I was told it’d be out by 2pm, oops 😠) but even still they carry-on like the sour, bitter, salty souks they are. So stuff you then!

Well nudge you have really put it out there. I don't think it has dropped that the interested club is NM. We will know soon. Cheers good work.

No. And I hope not, I merely am repeating the narrative of others. But I like the fact where thinking left field and using where we have a surplus to try and full generational gaps as well as immediate ones. But unless it’s somehow Harley and Larkey, I’m a no. But the conundrum is, that it must also mean those issues re Clarry are real, as in the tattoo, the independent doc. The whinging bout the club etc and part of me says STUFF YOU THEN Clarry, but then I compose and remember it’s likely individuals he’s upset with, NOT the club.

I understand this is your point of view, but I’m asking if your information is that it’s likely that we will trade him if we are being offered pick 2+3 as you suggested?

Yep. That’s been the talk! I hope you’ll now understand, had I mentioned any sort of specifics, and it fell through - I’d of liked like a the biggest tool alive and been torn apart and had to higher a new name and I’ve been here since day dot basically so wasn’t gonna do that. Oh yeah, and I’d of clearly been the source and burned my real self HARD, that too 🤣😂😇

So will this happen Nudge or is it unlikely?

All I know is that the current bounty inc getting picks 1, and another top 4, to either draft or use for a KF, be it this or next year. The NM piece was part supposition on another’s part, but it makes sense that’s for sure, and that third party is someone I know wouldn’t mention them if they hadnt been spoken too, but there’s plenty to play out yet. But if I hear anything further I’ll be keeping it to myself, maybe with an anonymous email I can then refer too later for dazzle-digging fun.

Your making this up as you go along - you implied what was coming was a forward trade target.

If I had to play bookie, I’d have it $2.80 — As the deal would need to be complex & to have MANY parties say yes. Hence why this time of year 90% of what gets discussed is never even heard out in open. But fact club was calling other clubs re Clarry, value, is BIG!

No, pls go back and re read the specific post, I certainly hoped it would and still do. But again, what other big news dripping today could I have been referring to?

my post re the disc I had also when asked, had me respond I’d say it’s more to do with Harley Reid than anything else. But thanks for chipping in 🤣

Haha yep..

The dude has lost a handle of things and is now a scattering mess.

There's very few that take him serious now.

Ur right, it must of been the other massive news announced today I was referring to! Hahaha you’re literally the most moronic individual I’ve heard in decades, and that’s a hefty field my friend, hefty personified! Anyone who read my original post about something big coming, and that then saw me post this morning — gets it. Sorry I didn’t inc you champ, but it’s because I don’t reveal to much, that enables me to keep hearing these things so if you think I’m gonna go too far and burn all those relationships, you’re wrong! Hoorah 👋🏻

Stepping this out a little, if we nabbed 2 & 3, we could probably still trade for Reid whilst retaining p3. Could a Reid/Duursma double be on the wish list?

How often have we been seduced by early picks and they’ve amounted to nothing more than good ordinary players.
To trade the best contested midfielder in the game for speculative picks is a hard sell for me.
Would need an established player involved.

Honestly if this club is now shopping semi-publically a once-in-a-generation talent because of 'attitude issues' twelve months after signing him for seven years our list management foresight is laughably bad.

In recent times we have been good at the draft but the decades before that were at best mixed in terms of drafting and at times appallingly bad. Why gamble what is for what might be?

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Having convincingly defeated last year’s premier and decisively outplayed the runner-up with 8.2 in the final quarter, nothing epitomized the Melbourne Football Club’s performance more than its 1.12 final half, particularly the eight consecutive behinds in the last term, against a struggling St Kilda team in the midst of a dismal losing streak. Just when stability and consistency were anticipated within the Demon ranks, they delivered a quintessential performance marked by instability and ill-conceived decisions, with the most striking aspect being their inaccuracy in kicking for goal, which suggested a lack of preparation (instead of sleeping in their hotel in Alice, were they having a night on the turps) rather than a well-rested team. Let’s face it - this kicking disease that makes them look like raw amateurs is becoming a millstone around the team’s neck.

  • CASEY: Sydney

The Casey Demons were always expected to emerge victorious in their matchup against the lowly-ranked Sydney Swans at picturesque Tramway Oval, situated in the shadows of the SCG in Moore Park. They dominated the proceedings in the opening two and a half quarters of the game but had little to show for it. This was primarily due to their own sloppy errors in a low-standard game that produced a number of crowded mauls reminiscent of the rugby game popular in old Sydney Town. However, when the Swans tired, as teams often do when they turn games into ugly defensive contests, Casey lifted the standard of its own play and … it was off to the races. Not to nearby Randwick but to a different race with an objective of piling on goal after goal on the way to a mammoth victory. At the 25-minute mark of the third quarter, the Demons held a slender 14-point lead over the Swans, who are ahead on the ladder of only the previous week's opposition, the ailing Bullants. Forty minutes later, they had more than fully compensated for the sloppiness of their earlier play with a decisive 94-point victory, that culminated in a rousing finish which yielded thirteen unanswered goals. Kicks hit their targets, the ball found itself going through the middle and every player made a contribution.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

Hands up if you thought, like me, at half-time in yesterday’s game at TIO Traeger Park, Alice Springs that Melbourne’s disposal around the ground and, in particular, its kicking inaccuracy in front of the goals couldn’t get any worse. Well, it did. And what’s even more damning for the Melbourne Football Club is that the game against St Kilda and its resurgence from the bottomless pit of its miserable start to the season wasn’t just lost through poor conversion for goal but rather in the 15 minutes when the entire team went into a slumber and was mugged by the out-of-form Saints. Their six goals two behinds (one goal less than the Demons managed for the whole game) weaved a path of destruction from which they were unable to recover. Ross Lyon’s astute use of pressure to contain the situation once they had asserted their grip on the game, and Melbourne’s self-destructive wastefulness, assured that outcome. The old adage about the insanity of repeatedly doing something and expecting a different result, was out there. Two years ago, the score line in Melbourne’s loss to the Giants at this same ground was 5 goals 15 behinds - a ratio of one goal per four scoring shots - was perfectly replicated with yesterday’s 7 goals 21 behinds.
This has been going on for a while and opens up a number of questions. I’ll put forward a few that come to mind from this performance. The obvious first question is whether the club can find a suitable coach to instruct players on proper kicking techniques or is this a skill that can no longer be developed at this stage of the development of our playing group? Another concern is the team's ability to counter an opponent's dominance during a run on as exemplified by the Saints in the first quarter. Did the Demons underestimate their opponents, considering St Kilda's goals during this period were scored by relatively unknown forwards? Furthermore, given the modest attendance of 6,721 at TIO Traeger Park and the team's poor past performances at this venue, is it prudent to prioritize financial gain over potentially sacrificing valuable premiership points by relinquishing home ground advantage, notwithstanding the cultural significance of the team's connection to the Red Centre?
