I have put some thought into this, and have come up with what should be something very close to the crowd figure

The Demons currently have 27,000 members. Port Adelaide have approximately 38,000 members. Of these, you would expect 36,000 to make the trip across the border for such a huge game.

Add to that the neutral supporters that will rock up to see the hijinx of such luminaries as Davey, Johstone, Yze, Bruce, Burgoyne, Tredrea and the Cornes brothers... that would be abother 16,000.

And on top of that the corpporate crowd that will be filling up the boxes upstairs, there is another 5,000.

FInally, MCC members which will total 7,000.

My crowd prediction - 93,000. Enough to eclipse the ANZAC day match between Essendon and Collingwood.

how hypocritical is that statement? by your logic if we all turned up and supported we would have more chance of winning. which i believe is probably true. more supporters more money more noise etc we would be more successful overall.

you cannot say the players have to be successful before you'll take part. we are all in this together. the board, the volunteers, the cheer squad the players the supporters.

all have their job to do. to be successful we all need to pull as one, not sit around and wait for someone else to start performing first.
