32 touches, 3 goals, 12 marks and 771 metres gained.  It's not a bad day's work, let's be honest.

Fair call.

I noticed the goals, but not so much the other stats.  Didn't really jump out at me amoungst the overall routing which the Swans were given, probably because I lost interest and was only half watching the game.

No.  At Gate 2 The only turnstile to leave without scanning, which is open around 3/4 time each game, was padlocked closed on Saturday. With security only allowing staff in and out withour scanning.

Are you sure? That would have been a potential fire trap if gates were locked.

Have never seen it before at the G

You know what's making me laugh, all the collingwood fans saying we would have out up a better effort and given a closer gf. you gave up the first 4 goals at the start of the prelim, you can't do that.

If we had fit players and tom in our team we could have probably won. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

It's the easiest thing in the world to say after the fact. They may well have but we'll never know, I personally thought Sydney were the best matchup with high pressure and run and I'm not backing away from that.

Collingwood had a great season but I'm not sure anyone could have touched Geelong on Sat. A fit Melb would probably have been the best bet but I could see Collingwood getting smoked the second time round.

checked it out personally.

Heavy duty chain and padlock

Presumably they would simply open all turnstiles to allow exit in an emergency

Good bye Flogwood, .... i mean Duckwood....i mean Joel.

Very poor by Sydney to let Hawk get one goal like that, never mind 2.

Had to laugh at Titus O'Riley's description:

"Sydney fans held their faces in their hands as they watched Tom Hawkins pluck the ball out of the ruck, not once but twice.

It appeared the Swans players had never seen this before, even though everyone in the stands predicted it was going to happen as the ball was thrown in."

Collingwood supporters at my work don't just think they would've gotten close.

Collingwood supporters at my work thing they would've beaten Geelong,

.....just Coz they led Geelong at times during the qualifying final.

Solid theory.

Just got an email from the MCC

What a wonderful AFL Finals Series we had this year as we finally welcomed back September action to the MCG.

Are they serious?  It was a terrible series and the GF was a shocker.  Someone obviously slept through September.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
