Max Gawn Reflects

Featured Replies

I hope Max and some of the others go along gf day and use the hurt to motivate them over the summer.

They can realise what they are missing out on by losing playing on the G gf day in front of Melbourne fans.

And get paid a truckload of money, I’m pretty sure most of them move on a lot quicker than we do

Yeah but the good ones want to prove how good they are and move on to prove it

One of the things that came out of the reflections was the reason we are pursuing Grundy so hard, we knew Max was carrying an injury but didn’t realise how serious the injury was and our ruck stock cupboard was bare, LJ  was off the boil and halfway out the door. We sure put a lot of our eggs in the LJ basket, so JT and our recruitment team will be working overtime to try and rectify this  lack of talls. Good luck boys.

max and lingers going on a Tour de France adventure….

sounds like they were stuffed.  Too much work and no bbreak

They were stuffed without a proper break last offseason so the skipper wants to go cycling around Europe? 🤔

A mental break is almost if not more important than a physical break

Minimal impact on joints so it’ll be fine.

Question is the Cats played one less game than us yet look a lot fresher, sure mentally was tough but what did our fitness team do to prepare the team. Burgess departed but I’m sure he would have assist Griffiths in the program for 22

Game plan and a very slight bit of arrogance and of course injuries

I think it’s a culmination of things. Injuries, being hunted, game plan were all contributing factors. There is also the belly full element. Our pressure has been off all year - just had to watch the Swans to see the desperation that it takes.

Im not holding my breath for next year either. Not saying we will drop away but I think Goody will try to persevere with the current plan.

The Cats stuck to their finals flunking game plan for 10 years before Scott finally did something about it. If Goodwin is all about learning I hope he learns that lesson real quick.
