A bar on the bus would go gangsbusters.

I'll say. This was such a bad news idea by me taking the bus.

Off to the 6 pm sitting at Le Petit Bistro with the family. Have a steak Pomme Frites and a couple of Dry Martinis then catch the 7.12 from Kooyong. Should be at the ground just in time for the bounce. Expecting the Swans to put up a good fight until early in the 3rd quarter, and then the Dees will put their foot down and draw away for a nice 5-goal win. Expect the pressure to be on in a few weeks when we face The Filth. Regards The Sarg

Hugh Trumble cafe is packed with dees fans of course. It's buzzing.

Gee how loud will it be if we kick the first goal quickly.

I hope max has his finals kicking boots on tonight

I thought I'd see @WalkingCivilWarrun on the oval with hugs all round!

Langdon had a walk by the cheer squad

They did it again, this time Langdon with Hunty.

Thought for sure WCW would sprint out.  @WalkingCivilWar

Strange even though we won last year....it's all exciting and new again.

Feels like our first shot at a flag all over again.

I've said it before ..virginity is a recurring ailment.

I’m surprised you’re not at the Hofbrauhaus Schultzie.

And just like this time last year already few stubbies deep well before the bounce to calm the nerves.

Go get em boys! 🍻🍻

First?

First 5.

JVR having a kick at half time of the W game. Do emergencies usually have a wander out pre-game? 🤔

Pace yourself mate. You want to be concious to sing the song.

Alright, I'm here. Thanks for putting up with the rambling.

Is Buddy out? Someone tells me he’s out with a sore calf.

Can’t see anything about it.

Anyone at the ground, can you spot Hibberd?

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
