What do you mean ‘remember he doesn’t owe you anything”. I never said he did

most people who think he's a tool think hes un Australian and should act a certain way.

We all love people like Barty because we like her and its the boring story. i hope Nick wins and sticks it up a few people.

I don’t think he’s Un Australian. I don’t even know what it means to be ‘Un Australian’. Does that mean he doesn’t have an egg on his burger, and he says Shrimp when he means Prawns?

Regardless I can’t stand Nick. He’s a petulant child whose now been charged with assault. It’s not about what country he comes from, it’s the fact that as a culture we are sick of people who treat women like objects. I hope I never see his terrible haircut and stinky attitude ever again.

Does it mean he throws a shrimp on the barbie?

I actually like Nick but gee he makes it hard to barrack for him. Always just felt sorry for him as he's clearly playing the wrong sport and is a Basketballer in a Tennis players body. Just happens to be super talented and this country is hardly laden with Tennis talent so there you go.

This latest stuff with the charges does not sound good, we can't have this kind of crap happening.

Act in a certain way as in abuse umpires, spit at fans, disrespect opponents, show a total lack of sportsmanship and generally act like an obnoxious dh.

Lions might lose to Ess tomorrow as they are decimated by injuries and covid protocols.

I prefer they win and make top 4 as I think they won't get their act together in time to succeed in finals this year and will keep some of the other threatening teams out of the top 4 eg Sydney and potentially Carlton, Collingwood and Tigers.  Let those 4 finish 5th to 8th and 2 get eliminated in first week of finals.  Dangerous threats reduced.

Freo are winning but also losing their mojo.  Hope they keep winning to help keep above teams out of top 4 and imv are also not ready to succeed in finals.

The exception to wanting them to win is when they play us in the last month.

Great to see 17th vs 7th playing at a ground with capacity for 100,000 people - unlike Thursday nights 1st vs 2nd played at a stadium with a current capacity of 21,000.

Remind me again AFL what the point of being successful is?

I have no problem with Collingwood v North being at the MCG. The MCG is Collingwood's home ground.

I also have no problem with Geelong v Melbourne being at GMHBA. GMHBA is Geelong's home ground.

Where I have a problem is Geelong v Richmond being at the MCG. Or Collingwood v Bulldogs being at Marvel. Both those match ups have happened this year and they are examples of sides playing "home" games at their opponent's home ground. It shouldn't happen.

The Marvel tenants (including Essendon and Carlton) should play their home games at Marvel to satisfy the minimum games requirement, and Geelong should put its money where its mouth is and play all 11 home games at GMHBA, with the big Melbourne clubs being sent down there so that North and we don't have to go there every year.

Hugh shout out to Paddy McCartin.  After all he has been through to be playing a big role for Sydney and now getting the praise he deserves.

Fantastic to see Paddy able to start fulfilling his significant potential.

In a way he lived in Petracca's shadow.  Kudos to Sydney for taking the risk and giving Paddy another chance and to make a name for himself in his own right.

I think it's Un Australian to call someone Un Australian

Would love to see North get up, not only because it messes with Coll finals hopes but also to get themselves a real boost.

Edit:  it looks like Coll got the rub of the green with the umps in the first qtr...

They're genuinely in this game for the moment LH! Wonder if the world famous standing ovation came out at QT!

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

2024 Player Reviews: #5 Christian Petracca

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury. 2024 Player Reviews: #2 Jacob van Rooyen

Strong marking youngster who plays forward and relief ruck, continued to make significant strides forward in his career path. The Demons have high hopes for van Rooyen as he stakes his claim to become an elite attacking forward. LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

It remains to be seen whether Simon Goodwin will persevere with him in attack or return him to the backline where he was an important cog in the club’s 2021 premiership success.

After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. Unfortunately, didn’t quite get there although he did finish equal sixth in Casey’s best and fairest award. Date of Birth: 23 February 1999 Height: 198cm Games CDFC: 14 Goals CDFL: 13

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed.
