Tom Stewart is gornย

ย

Stewart in trouble I think, looked bad.

Multiple weeks for Stewartย

Is apparent bravery a way to now get away with obvious front on contact? ย Happened numerous times against Frittata on Thursday and Tarrant just then got away with one.ย

Definitely a shift in interpretation...and 'amazingly' the commentators are in synch with it ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

Has to be four week. Prestia out this week and next week, elbow to the head. Was knocked out on the ground by an elbow after the ball went well by. Didnโ€™t need to do anything. If the AFL is serious you have to rub him out for twice what he cost the guy playing the ball.

Stewart deserves four weeks for that! Horrificย

Thatโ€™s exactly what should happen but the sceptic in me says heโ€™ll get one week - just enough time to freshen up before we play them the following weekโ€ฆ.ย

Agree. Heโ€™s a great, and usually fair, player - but that was everything weโ€™ve been told the AFL wants to get out of the game.ย

Thought it was a shoulder. Will have a look again, but agree it is multiple weeks, as far worse than the Chandler tackle of a player with the ball, who got 2 as a result of concussion.

Youโ€™re right. Just saw it and it was a shoulder braced to hit him flush in the head. Itโ€™s really, really bad.ย

Replay was just on @Redleg.. i didn't see it...but blimey... some would call it an 'average act' as Garry just called it...others would call it something else.

Just saw it. Heโ€™ll get 3-4 reduced to 2 I think. No way gets just 1 week for that, itโ€™s actually the perfect example of what the AFL donโ€™t want to see when you elect to bump.ย

The fox footy boys going after how poor it looked and thereโ€™s nothing Stewart can do but fall on his sword.

Trial by media done. Minimum 3 weeks.

Agreed, should have been a free against Lyons when he was injured the other night.

And Stewart IN and us still belting them, would be even bigger.

Let's not kid ourselves here, he will be IN against us, it's precisely how the AFL works, pure agenda driven tripe.ย

He won't be coz he will get 1 week so he can play against us. And who do they play next week ?

Shhh! ๐Ÿคซ

My outrage about this has nothing to do with our draw. Iโ€™m outraged! We all should be outraged! Itโ€™s outrageous!

The agenda actually demands weeks, to show they are serious in wanting to avoid head knocks.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterdayโ€™s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown andย  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
