Is Neocleous a Greek philosopher?

You could build a team around him

Think it was Baldi for pur 5th snapping on his left after some nice work out of the middle then a worm burner from Baker...then some ring around the rosie in the FP to lhit up the loose Baldi

It was George Grey who kicked  it.

Mitch dribbles truly from 35 out for Casey's 6th

Has Melk got a voodoo doll with him?

Big scrap in the middle...some nice work from Seagul's 22..but they cough it up ...Moniz ends up on the end of a clearing HB running forward ....puts a beautiful pass into the loin cloth of Ellison.. who goes back and kicks truly from 45 on a 45 for Casey's 7th

Munro on the ball up finds it and snaps over the shoulder to Mitch who kicks truly from 25 on a 45

Rushed kick forward from the Gulls... kicked off the ground for a scrubber & their 3rd

Gulls spreading ok on the switch last 5 minutes looking stronger hitting up targets...find 17 at HF who misses to the right after the HT siren...

Gulls 3.3. 21

Frankston are the Dolphins. Williamstown are the Seagulls.

Missed the 1st qtr. The tackling and smothering by the Dees has been fantastic. One particular smother by Woey was incredible, and led to a goal.

Mitch Brown doing what is expected by our key forwards, and is leading up and hitting the packs.

Hibbo looks like he needs the run. Tommo stills worries me cause he gets caught out of position at times.

Best for Dees has been Casey players Munro and Grey. Pretty even contribution by Melbourne listed players.

Ellison has really impressed me.

I've been a big wrap on this kid since watching him this year but Andy Moniz Wakefield has got huge upside. His so clean below his knees and rarely fumbles.

His kicking skills are very very neat.

Ellison has nominated for the mid-season draft. Wonder if there’s been interest in him.

Daniel Turner is having one of the best all time games you'll see from a defender.

Steven May like.

KC, and other regular watchers - is Turner anywhere near ready for debut given May out and Petty sore.  I would think Tomlinson would be first cab of the rank, but heaven forbid were  both missing …. ???

Turner playing well but he’s only just come back in the last few weeks. Would that be enough to get into the Melbourne team? I’m not sure.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
