Amazingly close count.

Daisy is a star ️

Lauren Pearce had a great year as did Tayla Harris. I think Hanks was solid yet can keep on improving.

Paxman, Birch and Mithen tied on 47, equal 5th and all three could have easily been higher up in the count.

I think Birch was my player of the year.  Premier defender in the game (Steven May like) and was rewarded with All Australian honour.

Big 23 awaits. Go Dees

Pearce & Pearce and Tayla & Tyla!

Quite an even count, represents the season fairly I think. We had different contributors across the season and also several games where there were several who could have made the votes. Amazing effort by Westy to make the leaderboard in her debut season and good to see Bannan and Goldie rewarded too. Of course, I'm a big fan of Heath getting recognition. Definitely a trademark player.

Fair play Daisy. Just reward for a great season. Here's hoping the Crows list is ransacked this off-season so you can claim that elusive premiership before you hang up the boots

Congratulations to all the award winners. I'm amazed that Daisy won given her start to the year, but well done to her. I would have had her namesake as our best player across the season.

The move of Prespakis to Essendon fills me with dread. There are four new teams coming in, plus a few perennial under achievers, who have a lot of money and opportunity to throw around to established players. Hopefully players are allowed to sign longer term contracts once all 18 teams are up and running.

To those who attended - was there any hint that players might be considering offers to relocate, or was there a strong feeling that they are going to stick together and try again to win a premiership together?

Ive not seen much but from what I have seen Karen Paxman has dominated and knows how to play!

Congratulations to the winners.  Was a very even team performance and I'd say Daisy's consistency is probably what got her over the line.  She didn't play any poor games but had the one real standout v Freo and then was amongst the best half dozen or so in about 5 or 6 other games.  I liked Birch this year.  Thought she really stood out in a May/Lever kind of way.  Harris and Hanks were both excellent in patches and Lauren Pearce was consistently good.  When only three votes separate the top 7 players it's really luck of the draw.

Yes through a blanket over the top 5 players including Karen Paxman. Paxman could conceivably have won the B&F.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
