Unfortunately living up here in Queensland, I'm forced to book my interstate trips in advance. I travelled to Sydney last year and saw the boys win their first game for the year which is a game I won't forget in a long while. Because of this and our good record in Sydney, I thought I'd do the same trip again this year. Am I wasting my time and money or will this be another game which will define our season!? Anyone in the same boat who just wants to meet me at Star City - or do we rock up in the hope of a miracle?

Save your money and come to the Queens B'day match.

Without a doubt, the most exciting H&A match we play each year.

The atmosphere is amazing, and we're every chance to win.

Too late Jaded - that's my point! I'll just have to go and run a muck like last year!

I'm going to the Sydney match, had it booked before this nightmare started so there's no backing out now!

If you guys are coming to town, then you should come to dinner ;) :D !!!

Mousey I paid about $260 all up - that was return flights, one night accomodation and a ticket to the match!

And Queen C - whats the dinner all about? A function or something?

I've been there for the last 5 years for the match flying up from Melbourne and will be there come what may. Come on the Dees and get season 2007 back on track.

I am sure there would be an official function Demonator......

But I am in Sydney and therefore it is rare when there are so many Demon fans in town.

Just being friendly  !!!

Nothing wrong with being friendly - im all for it, especially when the dees are in town!

And it will be the only time we will get major news on the dees while they are in sydney.

As you know QueenC we only get a very little snipet of news, and most of the AFL news is on sydney

Myself and 3 of my mates are heading up there, we go every year, its a great trip! Lookingforward to more rowdiness at the aftermatch function, assuming we win yet again! I dont think I've seen them lose up there in thelast 4 years....

I went to the 2003 match, we were up by i think 25 points going into the last quarter and the swans slammed home 10 goals to 1 to win by about the same amount. It was a hard night to take made even worse by us being surround by some of the most ignorant and feral supports I've had the displeasure of being around.

One of the Swans players went down in a marking contest when he run into ONE OF HIS OWN, and the Swans supporters were abusing us saying that our players were pathetic and gutless. If I'd been the age i am now i would've stood up to them and given plenty back, but i was like 15 at the time and my mum was with us. I would love nothing more than to come home with a win, especially one like last year.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
