$2.7 million worth of merch in a four-week period, and that’s BEFORE the grand final win! That’s nuts!!!

You don't get a reputation for being private school going, Bulla skiing, Range Rover driving, grange drinking, Brie scarfing snobs without a bit of cash to back it up.

Demons fans might be smaller in number but when we really get going the money is there no doubt.

Sat in my Road to the GF T-shirt to watch the game. Unbelievable statistic selling 10,000 units.

Well done to the club's marketing team to mobilise that.

I note one of the memorablia framed items of 1000 prints at $695 sold out in 24 hours and a new edition now offered.

Its all just a donation to the club to secure the future really . Fantastic position. So pleased for the clubs Mgt and Board to now be free to plan and deliver ongoing improvements and the club's future will now never be in doubt.

The players deserve this. Listen to Ed Langdons  fascinating interview on Gus and Gawy and you appreciate how hard it is for the players and staff trekking out to Casey at times.

I have to say that the myth of being a small club is so wrong. We have 25,000 MCC members who barrack for Melbourne and don’t buy the dual membership. Add that to the 53,000 members we had signed up this year, in a season we all knew would be highly interrupted by [censored] Covid, and you’re looking at close to 80,000 members.
I think we are every chance to smash 70,000 members next season if all goes to plan with Covid and restrictions lifting.

But also yes, many Melbourne supporters are cashed up and waited their whole lives to blow cash on useless premiership junk.

I hope you’re not referring to those gorgeous Teddy Bears? If so, you spelled ‘Priceless Premiership Memorabilia’ wrong.

I think it's the raw number of supporters that people point at when they say Melbourne is a small club. Our conversion rate of supporters to members is huge, but again it costs money to be a member. It costs even more to be an MCC member or AFL member, and that's the group where all this merchandise is coming from I reckon (or a lot of it anyway).

Being in WA a lot of neutrals over here brought Melbourne merchandise over the last 2 weeks. Eagle supporting mates reckon the Demons are now their second choice side.

I think the Club did well to win over the people of Perth.  I had an eagles supporting friend who was living in Melb, but decided to return to WA (his home state) due to the pandemic.  I gave him my members barcode for the GF on the condition he go for the dees that night.  I saw him in a photo on Facebook with a demons cap on.  If the shoe was on the other foot I would not be seen dead in Eagles or Dockers gear 😆.

gotta remember it was a drought breaking flag. Teams doing that are easy to love. Think the swans a few years back, the doggies in 2016. I was emotionally invested in each one for those sides . You can only really garner that free support once.

Soon, when we’re a multi flag winning power club with 75k members,  no one but us will want to wear our gear and we can then celebrate being hated!

It has always been my dream to barrack for a hated club, that everyone says “I’ve had enough of watching them win” about.

And yet you'll admit to using Facebook.

I know which is the bigger crime.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
