Gawn - superlatives are insufficient

Brayshaw - team before self

Fritsch - was probably hampered

Hibberd - licence to attack

Hunt - continued backing himself

Jackson - our impressive wonderchild

Jones - was just going

Jordon - important in close

Langdon - all Australian form

Lever - playing impressive rebounder

May - our miracle man

McDonald - creating selection dilemmas

Melksham - was rarely sighted

Neal-Bullen - rough but ready

Oliver - prolific and impressive

Petracca - sublime ball handling

Pickett - rarely got going

Rivers - boundless youthful energy

Salem - Outstanding all game

Spargo - impressive aggressive efforts

Tomlinson - reliability a feature

Viney - great tagging game

Shock horror but this is the first Joeboy three word assessment I agree with!

Then again I don't know if Hibbetd had a license to attack!

Gus started poorly.

Finished on top.

Hibberd....back to best.

Melksham....not top 22.

May....showed Anzac spirit.

Salem.....super super skilled.

Trac...  move over Marrin.

Gawn...still number one.

Jackson.....now number two.

Anb....most improved player.

Kozzie....will win games.

Langdon....just so reliable.

Hunt......turbo still firing.

Lever....Mr rock solid.

Oliver....our duracell bunny.

Viney....there when needed.

Jones...a true servant.

Tmac.....better than ever.

Rivers.....wise for age.

Spargo...punches above weight.

Christian Salem - The Perfect Game.

Watched the game with a bunch of Tigers supporters who didn't know anything about him.  They sure do now.  As good of a game as I've seen anyone play in a Melbourne jumper.

Well done joeboy

Even though he is not kicking many goals Pickett is still a major contributor and second only to Petracca in score involvements.

Very important linkman

I was at the ground and then subsequently watched the replay. What I noticed at the ground but what isn't noticeable on TV was the hard work Brayshaw did running back to help the defenders. Each time the ball was on the other wing, Brayshaw was on his man. The moment it looked like Richmond was going to go forward, Brayshaw had to make a judgement call as to when to leave his man and run hard back into defence. I assume doing so helps free Lever up to play the intercept role. Brayshaw did it excellently all night. It's this sort of team-focused play that makes it really hard when watching a game on TV to know who is playing well and who isn't. It's also a lot of exhausting work, unrewarded by statistics and Supercoach points.

That's a tad harsh.

Won some crucial contests, went back with the flight. He isn't a 25 possession player now.

Jordon - under the radar

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
