As a kid who was forced to play full-back every week, I loved watching Sean Wight play.

He could punch a ball further than many could kick.

    Had a great finals series in 87/88 .. the final vs Westcoast when he went forward & kicked golds turned the game. Very sad that both he & Stynes passed away so young!

    So courageous.

    I remember when Sean Wight  stood in the "hole", knowing L,ockett was coming with the pack at full speed. He kept his head up, took the mark, then was made to "pay" by Lockett with his knee right in the middle of his back. Though it was a late, vicious assault, there was no 50m paid.

    More 'raw' ability than most & although he stood somewhat in the shadow of Jimmy Stynes, he was an amazing player & athlete.
