I'd have thought the media would have flogged the Arsenal (and Liverpool) angle to death by now.

He is a highly mobile professional like most in the sporting world.

Will not be long before MFC is on his CV.

More's the pity Ernest. It would be nice to have him around long enough to leave an indelible mark on our club.

I'd be offended if I was Richo listening to that! "Really enjoying working with the coaching group - very young and dynamic, with the exception of Richo"

Is he a fossil or not dynamic, or both?

But gees, he speaks well, doesn't he. I reckon we're in good hands.

Indeed, assuming he is the genuine article.

Some professionals move on so quickly that it is hard to judge their worth or success.

They are opportunists who know when to jump.

If the club takes off in 2020 , Burgess may want to stay longer or negotiate a lucrative contract extension otherwise he will be off like gough.

He ain’t no Brad Green

Seriously though watching interviews like this, it is not difficult to see why this bloke is so highly rated.

Disappointing report I thought. No word on KK or Spargo nor any news on Bennell. Hope he’s more informative later.

As a professional for sure he will move on once he has achieved a record of note - no matter how long or short he will leave an imprint .

He spoke exceptional well at fan forum. Off the cuff and not planning to speak but Goodwin threw to him several times to let him handle his area of expertise. Good of Goodwin, not hogging the mike.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
