Booooo! I love that you went early with it!

I'm just waiting for the table that has Saad, Polec, Hogan, Brown, Smith, Merrett, (who else am I missing) in it :) I do love the rumour mill in the off season.

And thank you for all the work you do putting this table together each year. This is the first place I go to (over FootyWire) as it is always accurate and clear!

Although Viney's contract signing hasn't been announce I note that since news broke that Geelong had been advised he wasn't going there we have seen the announcement of 4 contract signings, Smith, Petty, Sparrow and Fritsch and proposed 1 year deal for Jones. The dominoes are starting to fall

The list out of contracts is shrinking with Oscar I think will not getting renewed and Nibbler with a year still to go, looks likely to be moved on and Pruess is being seriously courted ( I could see the Bulldogs come knocking after their rucks got mauled yesterday). I hope for his health sake that Kolo retires.

3 already delisted and if Oscar, Nibbler, Pruess and Kola's go that brings the total to 7. That may well be it with room for 3 to come in

Updated for the very important re-signings of Fritsch for 2 years and Rivers for 3 years.

I will update the # Games Played when the final 2021 list is known.

Thanks for the update Lucifer

I and many on here really appreciate your efforts

Now for a few more signings!!

Thanks Luci keep up the great work.

With Viney now signing, we have locked away all our key players for the future until next season... well done to the club ... having said that I would like to keep Hibberd, Jones, Spargo, Hunt, Brown and Hore on one year deals unless we get some trade value for them

Kozzie updated:

Updated for Hibberd and Jones one year extensions.

Have also added Draft Picks to the chart.

And then there were 8 (plus 4 rookies): Jones and Hibberd signed for 1 year each.

With Hannan probably going to the doggies, the list is starting to take shape. I suspect those last few will really hinge on what happena with Brown, Smith, Smith, Tmac, etc.

2021 looks like a pretty straight forward list of exits... jones, jetta, kk, vanders, nibbler, jsmith, and one or two of the stragglers from this season who are yet to re-sign

Jones, Jetta, KK for sure.

Vanders, Hibberd depending on age, injury or form.

Then the numbers made up from ANB, Smith, Baker, Nibbler and the stragglers, pending trades in/out and lost sizes.

But 2022 is going to be an imtereating year, with only Melk and maybe Hibberd near the end, and mosy of the stragglers gone this year or next. Maybe a Hunt or Hore gets a 2 year contract this year,  but there don't look like many planned outs.

guess we will know by then how sparrow, petty, jordon came on, lockhart might be on the brink given his age at that time he'll wanna be well and truly embedded, i agree hibbo will get to '22, i have hopes for spargo, bedford & hore too but we'll see.

Hore signed for 1 year.  Spargo signed for 2 years.

A very long list building for OOC players in 2021.  Good strategy in case there are large reductions in player numbers next year.

Edited by Lucifer's Hero

Interesting how the signings have gone in the offseason. Maybe they are all done in batches and we are just announcing one by one, but in October

Smith signed for 1 year (2 October)

Petty and Sparrow for 2 years (2 October)

Fritch for 2 years (5 Oct)

Rivers for 3 years (5 Oct)

Viney 5 years (7 Oct)

Hibberd 1 year (27 Oct)

Jones 1 year (28 Oct)

Hore 1 year (29 Oct)

Spargo 2 years (29 Oct)

I'd assume that Jordan, Nietchke, and Bedford are waiting on list size announcements (could imagine 1 or 2 could be rookied if need be) and Hunt is anybody's guess right now.

Appreciate the spreadsheets @Lucifer's Hero

OOC 2021 seems large - but can probably draw a line through Jones, Jetta, Preuss, KK, ANB to begin with.

Big year for the like likes of Smith/Hore/AVB with one eye on the list situation,

Not many left to sign, Jordon should get a contract the rest will depend on who we can trade in.

Omac, Hannan, Preuss and TMac will be most likely traded out.

Hunt I think is the better of him and Bedford, I think we keep one maybe we are waiting to see if anyone wants Hunt.

KK wasn't there something that he will be off the list but his settlement will remain in the 2021 cap

spargo will be 23? based on being 21 at EOC this year in previous spreadies?

hunt would fit an essendon?

keen on bedford, jordon, lockhart, mbrown, bradtke to get a year each and nietschke to get one as a rookie.

which would see off hunt, omac, chandler + hannan, preuss, tmac

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
