A 4x B&F gone for pick 58 ? Seems a bargain to me

Bargain of the decade if he can get healthy.

And didn't they trade 4 picks for Brad Hill. That's not a bargain!

Could of been a handy pick up for MFC if you ask me - no idea what his state of mind is but a change of scenery might do wonders and we sure could do with some pace - he has that there is no doubt

Desparately wanted out because of Jack Sinclair. Was either that or he walked.

Why?

Why?

A certain off field 'incident' happened between the two players which resulted in Jack Steven refusing to even train with Sinclair, which is why he refused to even turn up for training. PM me if you want to know the rumour, but I have strong mail from I guy I work with who connected to him.

I've heard it's a pretty delicate situation so definitely best for him to be closer to home and the support of his family and at the end of the day, footy clubs are run by human beings and sometimes it's worth taking a bit of a hit in a football sense to do the right thing.

well done St Kilda for looking after a champion of your club when he needed it desperately.

While it sounds like a steal as you said it’s about Steven as a person, you’d assume he said I’ll retire or only play for Cats and I need to be down that way for my health.

He’s given good service to the Saints, they look to have given him an exit for a cheap deal.

This suggests his issues this year were not mental health related, rather they were personal conflict related?

So he's now Cat Steven.  Wonder if he's being followed by @Moonshadow?

Very good. Was he a Father and Son?

I heard it was with Jack Newnes. Probably around 5th hand info though.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
