Who! You have my vote DC.

Forget the muppet that is saying it but do you agree with BT here?

Honestly what a attention seeking stupid comment to make... Sammy was gutted, he felt the loss was entirely on his shoulders, you can see it in his face.. I love the fact the boys got around him. The guy was hurting and I can guarantee you he will be doing overtime with some goal kicking practise this week.

What's the alternative, leave the 20 gamer on his own and segregate him? [censored] off BT got this one completely wrong

Anyone know if we have engaged a specialist goal kicking coach yet? You know someone who might be able to improve technique and develop routines (that allow players to replicate that technique in all circumstances)for set shots! Goal kicking has cost us 3 games this season.

Petracca is a classic case study, his ball drop on a set shot inside 45m can do anything with him often spinning the ball in his hands just prior, to stay loose I suppose?

That would just be plain dumb ignorance,  'dc'...    based from ?   bias,  bigotry ???

That's just it, I thought, ignoring his football credentials in recognition of his limited nouse.

You would hope that the leaders got the club together post game and when back at training and made a point of all the misses this year and the fact we have been [censored] and take it upon themselves to actually train their set shots every single bloody session.

We have kicked so many more points than goals for the last few years. And it’s cost us multiple games.

But I don’t expect anything smart from this club anymore.

Nietzsche would argue that BT has a point.

It is not for us to determine the morality of an action but only live with the consequences of that action.

Empathy /pity leads to a slave mentality whereas a master mentality has no need for this morality .It either is or is not (successful)because of personal action.

All the players who missed should be chastised. It’s not a pre- school.

And another thing.

BT may seem moronic but he was clever enough to kick several hundred goals from in front of the sticks.

Same goes for Mark Jackson.

They at least had the humility to work on their craft.

Your status as a very sick man has been temporarily been put on hold. You are obviously quoting from our new recruit who has a season ending injury. Allow me to advise you that apart from yours truly only the lonely erudite know anything about this great philosopher who invented Zarathustra.

I think the Weed deserves some slack because he isn’t a serial offender. He has slotted some good goals under pressure, especially in last years finals. Also he so obviously cares and is hard enough on himself without anyone else sinking in the boots. He has been one of our better converters.

He’s kicked a paltry 6g 5b in 7 games this year.

22g 14b over his 27 games so far.

Going at well under a goal per game. How much  more slack should we cut the guy without running out of rope?

Whatever his deficiencies I don’t see it being lack of effort. That is the only justification for a spray IMO - eroding confidence isn’t the way to improve performance.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
