Thatโ€™s a positive for me

One of them was a gift from that fat explosive guy wearing number 5.

The make shift backline being ordinary is hardly a surprise.ย

Nor is a shock that Preuss is going to take a while to build his tank.

The bigger shame is that weโ€™re still making system mistakes.

- Bombing it forward under little pressure.

- 2 defenders on to 1 opponent with no impact.

Thereโ€™s a bunch of maturing limited players who have shown no improvement as well. Oscar, Frost, ANB, Huntย all bad.

Yeah. Was hoping to see just a few in and under type things. Tough to do in a half I guess.

Huntย and stretch not up to it eitherย

Not as key cogs in a side, though.ย  Allow them to be role players again and they'll do their job well.

I know it only a praccyย match but there are a few blokes out there who are playing for a spot in the side and showing absolutely zilch

And they will know it at Training next week

Wouldnโ€™t say they do their job well.

Stretch canโ€™t kick and Hunt is not much better

3 goals in 4 mins

I like Preuss as a second ruck to Gawn but ย as Iโ€™ve been saying for months we need another ruck option to cover injuries.

Keilty has been serviceable, Pedersen would be handy but we need another genuine ruck.

One player who I reckon has sewn up a spot in Round 1, if he hadn't already, is Fritsch.ย  He's had a great day.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
