Anyone going to these games?

I would go to the brissy game but pre booking tickets for a practice match seems a bit silly.

So much for tickets to a practice game dl4e!

Melb vs Brisbane has sold out !!!

That Old Melb history of being able to turn up on the night or day and get a seat is a part tiingnif the past.

Can I suggest that the Blockbuster Anzac Eve vs Tigers and Queens Birthday vs Pies games be treated with greater urgency if you want seats in specific locations in the ground.

in other words start getting your act together as both will be 80,000 plus I imagine!

Our home game vs Bombers in Round 3 is also another get your ticket if you aren't a member or get there early.anyway.

Cheers and here's to three great games in anticipation.

oh and let's not forget JLT  on Mar 3.

Great TV viewing on Fox!!!

I'm thinking of heading to the Shepparton game as I have family in the area. Will I really need to pre-purchase tickets to a praccy match?

I find that hard to believe...

Agree... perhaps 58er is talking seats.... only 320 or thereabouts at Casey.

The capacity is around 10k which should make for a bonanza day for the egg and bacon roll sellers !!

10,000 at Casey??? Does that include people stuck in their cars because the approach roads and car park can't handle more than 500 cars?

Casey you should be able to just turn up I've been to the last few pre season games there and usually get about 5000.....pro tip park in one of the nearby estates and walk to avoid a traffic nightmare!

I would Bondi.

Shepp is footy mad and there are a hell of a lot of Richmond and Melbourne supporters in the region.

And the grounds capacity is limited.  One local I spoke to thought it would be a sell-out.

Re the sellout I went to the bookin link and it stated that tickets were all sold.

Perhaps  a call to the Club would be best to get advice. Yes It is not really feasible that the whole ground is sold out but no way either will they get 12,000 in at Casey based on previous crowds of say 6,000.

Ground will have a safety net of say 8,000 or similar I imagine and then say Sold Out.

As I live in Qld won't be in town that weekend so no real problem for me but hope the game is worthy of a sellout with both Clubs treating it with seriousness.

Sound like something weird with the website when I clicked on the link it didn't say sold out....I'd be surprised if they'd sold 1000 tickets to a practice match this far out let alone a sellout

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
