Remember that period before Roos? They can be worse. The MFC rarely makes two good decisions in a row.

od, if things revert to the pre Roos era, it will be time to employ 'the mercy rule'.  Just snuff us out!

For now I hold the faith and continue in hope - hell it is the only option available atm.

Sadly LH that is too often the case with the Dees. We have cornered the market on hope.

and I will. if he is half as clever as he's made out to be ...and has some real cohunas his first act in the job would have been to advise the same said board to hold their fire for a little while. After all he has far more experience in the running of footy than his board members.

He signed off on it...he wears it

I don't have any issue with the timing, but why did it have to be a three year deal? It should have been one year to start with and, if we challenged again in 2019, then he gets locked in long term.

Our board got over zealous. Finals must be the aim every year, as a base camp. Not the friggin summit.

I seriously doubt that Gary Pert and the powers that be will leave a single stone unturned at the MFC to ensure that there isn't a repeat of 2019. Get is done Gas.............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was the comment that bothers me.

What the hell did Goodwin do last Summer? Did he expect to just get better or was he out of ideas post the Preliminary Final debacle?

Minimal match simulation with new rules introduced !!! What an absolute wasted year...

Au contraire. We've had 22 match simulations, not counting the pre-season kick and giggle games.

Sadly it’s not funny

A multi Million $$ Business apart from the Members attachment and sentiment. 12 months completely wasted

I cannot imagine anyone surviving such incompetence in any other employment. Staggering.

Actually, I'm not trying to be argumentative, but many CEOs survive one bad year. Look at Alan Joyce, for example. Qantas made a huge loss and Joyce cancelled flying due to an ongoing employee dispute. The Board kept him on and the next year and thereafter Qantas was flying (pun intended). Many don't get to survive a second scare, though, and if we don't improve significantly in 2020, Goodwin will likely be another tossed on to the scrapheap. I don't know if he can turn it around, but I am definitely satisfied that he should be given the opportunity to try.

I am talking more about Goodwin at this stage. Pert is under the Microscope from now on..

Both better be busy over summer
