Hogan for pick 5, 23, 30.

Pick 5 for May and Kolodjashnij.

We go in with picks 23, 30, 36, 46, 54.

62 and 65 will be used to get us Bedford.

I don't want Jess to leave, but it is what it is.

I think We will get pick 5 & i hope some more picks from this deal

Pick 5 to Gc for  may & KK and maybe another player

Then we use the rest of the picks for the draft in November

In the morning we give a late but good pick (maybe 46) for KK. Freo are spooked.

Freo concede they must give Neale to Brisbane for 5. Now Freo are in a total mess.

Freo give 5 and next years 1st for Hogan.

GC take the Freo 2019 first for May.

On draft night we swap 5 to Adelaide for 8 & 14.

Even if this happens I’d prefer Hogan to stay.

Freo give us 5 and 30 and some swapsies to make it appear like they had a big win

The picks however are/or will be worth more than 5 and 23 in a points-based system.

Regardless, everyone is up in arms.

We give 5 and 30 to GC for May and KK (and maybe another seemingly irrelevant swapsies).

Everyone's arms are now flapping at full steam, threatening a widespread meltdown.

AFL commentators and pundits say stupid stuff.

Some posters on Demonland patiently explain the benefits of the trade while others don't bother.

Bell turns up with his chest puffed out, makes ridiculous demands for Neale tells Melbourne his got a late 1st rounder and some pocket lint for Hogan. Finally does the Neale deal, plays Adelaide and Port against each other for pick 5 pick swaps, finally does a deal with Adelaide. Comes to Mahoney is all his smugness. Mahoney says No deal. Hogan will go to West coast next year, with a premiership under his belt.

Neale to Brisbane for pick 5

Hogan to Freo for pick 5 and 23

Pick 5 and 36 to GCS for May and pick 19

Pick 46 to GCS for KK

We get May, KK and picks 19 and 23 - along with picks 54, 62 and 65 (which may be used in other trades or upgrades)

We give Hogan, pick 36 and pick 46

Ed Langdon worked into the Hogan and pick 5+ deal.

I predict the trade period will finish at exactly 2030 this evening

I predict they wont do a 2 hour TV finale next season.

Everyone is taking about how fake and manufactured this whole thing is.  It is backfiring spectacularly for the AFL, who truly believe the public are idiots.

Hey Petraccattack - did I get your Kade Kolodjashnij quiz right? I'm applying for a job tomorrow and need to know if I can tell them of my Mensa-level IQ.

Hogan is gone. We will get May and Kolodjashnij in return and that is it. Mahoney has the backbone of a sea gooseberry when it comes to trade week.

If they are sensible they will try to get something for Frost to at get us another pick in the 30-40 range.

What was your answer?

As soon as the trade becomes official I will reveal all.

Lols. This place is going to be a cracker to read later.

It'll be the same nancies who complained about getting Melksham, Hibbo, trading Watts, Frawley, etc etc etc.

We'll win a flag in the next 5 years if we land May.

Bank it.

Could be worth getting way unders just to see the meltdowns.   What a show that would be.

Anyways, my dream scenario which wont happen but fun to think about

In -     Steven May,  Ed Langdon, pick 23,  Kade Kodoalshnikj (spelling lol)

Out -   Jesse Hogan, 2nd rounder, 3rd rounder

I predict that if we should secure his services, Kolodjashnij will become the most commonly mis-spelt name on Demonland. And that will be an achievement following on from the sometimes absurdly simple (for example, Mitch Clark/Clarke) to the understandable...where are the capitalised letters in vandenBerg's name?

Or Hibbard instead of Hibberd

Where is my prize I got closest to the pin didn't I?

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
