So either the Hawks or Tigers get an extra two days rest before we play them in a semi final?

Thanks AFL, for actually being fair to us for once.

Our game, should we win, will 100% be on Friday night.

No chance West Coast / Pies vs Sydney/GWS will be on Friday night, as both of those games are on Saturday this week and both will have teams travelling.

We will play Friday, giving whoever we play one extra days rest, but we will still get a full week. It's pretty fair.Ā

A wack from Tyson’s forearm plate might give him something to think about,

And Queens of The Stoneage are playing at Margaret Court Arena. The AFL are absolute muppets for scheduling this game on the Friday. Should of been WCE v Coll in Perth and Ā had us playing on the Saturday night.

Who’s gives a rats ass about Queens of the Stoneage. Josh Homme is a sellout [censored]. Kyuss is where it’s at.

Everybody knows that you’re insaneĀ

Really glad for Tyson. He is a good story too coming into his first final.

I was his source.

As per Monday at 5:57pm (with some small edits):

Tyson is fit to play. they will select him. His ability to win contests were very important in the wc game and the first half of the gws. Both were played at near finals like intensity.Ā they will want his physical strength and ball winning skills on Friday.

Viney is a certainty to be selected. But he is not a swap for kent and surely will mostly play as a mid. Which creates a bit of an issue in so far as tyson needs to be in the middle. Perhaps viney can play an outside, wing role.Ā

They will want hannan in the side for his forward smarts but also his physicality and strength.

So who comes out?Ā

Unfortunately for spargo and jkh it will be one of them, with jkhĀ being the unlucky one. He was the in for hannan against gws and plays the outside wing role that viney could slot into. Will be tough on him as he was terrific against gws and by all accounts was one of the standouts at training on sat

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love.Ā ManyĀ issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commandingĀ 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
