Round 11 Non-MFC Games

Featured Replies

This game is poo. 8-3 is very flattering to the Swans if this is their level.

Carlton should aim to score 50 before they start worrying about 100s.

Callum Sinclair making a bit of a run for most punchable head in the AFL?

He looks like an emu, I could never punch an emu.

I’ve always thought of him more as a giraffe

That was ugly to watch

Sydney don’t look that great

I wouldn't mind racking up a cricket score against those penny pinching, AFL bum licking swans. Can't stand a few of them in that team, especially their coach Horse aka Mr.Ed.

The Suns are a joke.

Burgoyne got reported for hugging.

.

Geez they are bad.

Got Lynch and Martin back for this game and most thought they'd be competitive.

Worst part is they might be running Geelong into form.

Doubt I’ve seen a more heartless team.

Geelong haven’t gotten out of 2nd gear. And Geelong aren’t impressive.

I don't know who to barrack for tonight.  I hate Essendon, but if they roll the Tigers we stay in second spot.  Which is the lesser of two evils?

Essendon could do us a favour for the third week running.

Thats the good part.

The bad part is that they'd have three great wins in a row with their confidence sky high and talking finals.   And nobody wants to see those cheats in the 8.

There’s no right answer here. Only wrong ones.

The post post-Mark Neeld honeymoon is over for the Dons.

What’s happened to Hurley? Had a sloppy hand in 4 of Richmond’s goals.

Horrible free kick to Nankervis.

Essendon with two injuries already, going to be a Melbourne-like flogging.

Wouldn't mind a 147 flogging.

Is Kermit special comments?

ahh Gilbert McAdam. Never mind.

We might go from 1st best percentage to third once the two games tonight are done with.

Classic Luke Darcy getting excited by Rance when he allowed an uncontested Essendon mark in their forward line.

And then he blamed it on Floss-Stone (I mean, he DID slip over, but I feel like Jake Lever would have still punched that ball into next century).

But he’s a joinyus Alex Rance...

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
