THE only positive I see with our Rd 23 loss was that we’re going to see 2 more years of this rabble under Buckley.

I have a die hard Collingwood colleague at work who regrets beating Melbourne in Rd 23.

She was happy for 5 minuets after the game. Now she’s in misery for a further 2 years.

Great. Some joy from Round 23 2017

i will take that!!

Same old, same old Collingwood. Treloar, Pendlebury and that's about it.

Pendlebury is not the same player and treloar is fairly ordinary imo gets a lot of it but when you get 32 touches at 43% efficiency your not hurting the opposition, you wouldn’t bother tagging him as you know every second kick will likely be a turnover

That's the only thing about Richmond I like

They have a catchy song Im afraid.

Enjoy the game today PD

I suspect Buckley is in record breaking territory. Has any coach in the history of the game taken their side backwards over successive six seasons? Anyone got the stat?

Usually coaches get the boot long before that happens, would be interesting to know

I suspect it would not only be a VFL/AFL record - but surely he would be giving the world record a nudge for professional sport coaches/managers.

My Demon mates don't call him Buckley anymore. We just imitate the 'deeping' sound a truck makes when it's reversing. We all know to whom we are referring.

Dogs being absolutely mauled at half time, and GWS looking scary.

all things being equal - the Greater Waste of Resources should win it this year in a canter.

When Franklin went to Sydney on that mega deal most people expected he would burn out really quickly once he hit 30, and the contract would be an albatross.

Hes aging like fine wine.

It has just clicked tonight hearing nic nats name no longer do I have to hear or worry about the watts/nic nat comparison.

Good comeback by the eagles though. Set up for a great final term.

Collingwood is far more likely to finish bottom 4 than top 8. They have such an uninspiring list.

Dogs surprisingly bad. Will be interesting to see if that was just GWS being GWS or the Dogs not being that good.

I really like GWS gameplan - we should have grabbed Heath Shaw when we had the chance, that backline is like a well oiled machine - so precitable yet so hard to stop

Sydney are such a clean team, never fumble and never run over the ball.

Will win the flag.

That’s a big call. West Coast seriously brought it up to them, and they’re no great shakes. If Franklin gets injured the Swans could be in trouble

I do not understand the hype around Essendon’s midfield.

There's no hype around the Essendon midfield, in fact, most of the experts say it is the weakest part of the Essendon team, which is correct.

Daniher is the most overrated footballer in the league.

Hmmmm, Danihers last 3 games against Melbourne :

2017 : 1.6 with 13 marks

2016 : 2.4 with 15 marks

2015 : 5.0

He wasn't dominant the other night, but kicked 65.39 last year and won Essendons B&F. THe year before when Essendon won 3 games he kicked 43.32

Generally performs well in big games. Whether he is a top 10 player in the AFL is up for debate, but I feel you are forming your opinion on Friday nights game alone perhaps.

Essendons 3 big pick ups are all very average players.

Saad smashed Betts, kept him to 0.2, and Betts is a player who has dined out on Essendon many a time.

Smith had 23 touches, 5 tackles and ran hard all night. I was impressed with his game and will be an asset.

Stringer is a burst impact player. Won't contribute every week, but still had 16 touches and 7 tackles on Friday night.

Again, I wouldn't fall for the trap of judging players on one game, otherwise you have paid way overs for Jake Lever.

Hi Ash ... welcome back to the board. Your comments are as usual always welcome.

Daniher is a very good forward and I fully expect him to rank among one of the best before he hangs up his boots. In our win against the Bombers last year we were lucky that he didn't kick straight.

One thing that amazed me is how the Bombers managed to sign him up for around the $650k per year mark. He is almost certainly a million dollar forward or very close to it.

I guess loyalty to the club. Obviously has Essendon in his blood, similar to Jack Viney at Melbourne.

It's a smart move, allows the club to recruit an extra good player under the cap which in turns makes Joes life easier on the football field. $675,000 isn't peanuts, and I'm sure he could have got more from other clubs or even Essendon if he asked, but like I said, if him taken unders means we can grab another good player, I can see why Joe did it.

Fair enough, I’ll take on the feedback and move forward.

My apologies Ash35
