Phantom Draft Form Guide

hunter clark sounds intriguing, but seriously doubt we'll have a first rounder this year..

No Joel Garner in top 25! All class.

The kid is top 15 easily

Maybe hope for the Dees in the second round.

Would be perfect. Skilled.  Runs all day. Think Andrew Gaff type. But with Hodge like leadership.

Not only that but he's nearly as tall as Maxy Gawn and his right arm fast bowling is capable of ripping through the heart of opposing batting line-ups.

Only thing is...It's hard to bowl a footy

Some people always see a down side about something at least he could bowl underarm!!

I use to highly value Cal Twomey's opinion until I saw his 2008 draft recap the other day (he did it with such confidence, but it was shocking). I also found out he is an Essendon supporter... :D

Another one that doesnt have the balls to do an actual mock draft.

Is this your first rodeo?

Power Rankings usually the week before, phantom drafts a day or 2 before.

Just relax.

On the topic of phantom drafts, the first I've seen has dreamy results. Brett Andersons on sen:

has us netting the best ruck in the draft, Matthew Ling who I was hoping would fall to us, and Bailey Fritsch, everyone's Casey love affair. Also some other kid above all these with our first pick. Very lofty hopes for us I would think.

Pretty sure Brett Anderson is a Melbourne Supporter too!

Brett Anderson's Mock Draft also has one Dom Barry going to the Pies at Pick #57.  I'll be very interested to see if he gets selected on the night, or if he is picked up in the rookie draft.

Amazing mock by Anderson

Baker at 29.  Hmmm. He is fast but disposal needs work. Garner appeals more if available

Hayes at 31. An absolute steal

Ling at 39. Wow.  Pace smarts and a mid goalkicker.  Yes though I would grab him at 29. Surely Cats take him

Fritsch at 47.   Yes. Though I’d take him earlier

Not sure the pies would be a good fit for dom barry

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
