 He personally wasn't the first that leapt to my mind as one of our indigenous players but reading it on the demon wiki sight did jolt my memory that I'd heard he has some indigenous heritage,  so I'm not going to dispute it.  I don't think much was made of it during his playing days, in which sadly were not times indigenous players were encouraged to be as proud of their cultural/family heritage as they are in todays game, so I can well understand, assuming it is true that it wasn't brought up much.

I played on him once.

He played in a Gf for us aged 17 I believe.

There was criticism on his weight when he first arrived and when he came back for his second pre-season, but we have no idea how things might've gone for him had he not suffered the sudden tragedy of losing his father. He wanted to quite immediately after he got home for the funeral and was convinced to return by Aaron Davey, I suspect his heart wasn't in it after that.

I think you're being very cold to what Austin went through.

I think you're being very cold to what Austin went through.

I'm disappointed he didn't follow through on a promising start.

Whether he quit or got sacked I couldn't say and it doesn't really matter.

Biff, disappointment is understandable.  I as I suspect were many MFC fans hugely diapointed that Aussie didn't make it completely, but as for the rest, your response totally lacks compassion and emapathy, which I actually find sad.

Balls,

I do lack empathy but that is beside the point.

Im disappointed both in his life choices(getting fat/quitting) and for him as an individual as well as for the untimely death of his father.

My empathy changes nothing in his life and my disappointment was from an individual point of view as a MFC supporter as well as a person.

People are empathy junkies these days.Its like a disease.

i'm not sure it actually helps anyone .
