Just announced that PJ contract extended to end of 2018

Now THAT is a good signing

Well done. Fantastic

He has 'nailed his reputation to our mast'

He would not stick around if he didn't think we were going to get there

Well done everyone at the Club.

Twitter is saying 2017?

Let's hope that they can play without an away jumper!

Might want to amend (extend thread title ) ;)

PJ - net assets over liabilities = $4.8m (based on land and buildings at cost).

Well they would be worth a poultice more now (whatever a poultice is!)

Woohoo. Whilst respecting the history of the Scorps i think this is a prudent move.

Peter Jackson on board as CEO until end of 2018.

Hard to believe that it is only 3.5 years since he came on board - he has achieved so much already.  Can't wait to see where he takes us over the next few years.

From a big picture club view that is as good as extending Hogan's contract.

Goody introducing the 9 newcomers to the club with four of them on stage - Jordan Lewis, Michael Hibberd, Mitch Hannan and Daniel Johnstone.

But not the girls?

Appreciate the updates for people who can't be there.

Especially from a hospital bed!

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
