This is awesome news but the reality is not everyone is guaranteed a GF ticket if the MFC make it are they? The allocation is only 30,000 to my knowledge.

GF guarantee... Got it in a rush of blood when bailey was coach , and dedicated demon payments ensured that it stayed there!

An annual donation to the club up until now with any luck!

Don't forget some of those 40,000 plus members are also MCC members who won't dip into the 30k allocation.

(Why am I allowing myself to indulge in discussion about Melbourne in a Grand Final? I thought I had screwed the lid down tight. Clearly not tight enough.)

I think the 30,000 is for both competing club's members.

For people interested in knowing more about the guarentee of a GF ticket - It is automatically part of the Redlegs, Trident and Legend 'Premium' packages.  It can also be purchased as an add-on with some of the other memberships https://membership.melbournefc.com.au/packages/view/741/Grand-Final-Guarantee

Last year the Bulldogs sold out their equivalent 'Premium' packages within 48 hours of the GF.

MFC will have limits on how many memberships with GF guarantees it allocates.  So anyone who wants a GF guarantee should upgrade now!  Once someone has a membership with the GF guarantee it is unlikely they would lose it as the club gives members the option to renew their existing membership before it allocates more of that type.

Edit:  Memberships close at end of July

Exactly right LH, been attached to my membership (Country, in Tassie) every year since I first added it. its been $80 pretty much the entire time I've had it.

Think its about 100 if you are in Vic.

Are you sure you're not part of the MFC marketing team? With advice like this, you should be.

Just a humble fan who would love to see my club be great again so we need all the members we can get.

Also, someone who has a bit of time on their hands to google and research stuff

I hope any club would not sprewk guaranteed grand final tickets to upgrade and not deliver, well I hope not anyway that would be devastating.

Would be pretty confident that they would be able to allocate tickets prior to general public sales. The info below is from the website and website lists the conditions:

Grand Final Guarantee

Legends, Trident and Redlegs members have guaranteed access to purchase a Grand Final ticket if Melbourne is competing, as part of their membership package.

Demon Seats, MFC/MCC and Red and Blue Members can guarantee access to purchase finals tickets and a Grand Final ticket, should the Demons make it in 2017, by purchasing the Grand Final Guarantee add on with their membership.

  Full Price   Dedicated Demon
GF Guarantee Adult $125    $20.84
GF Guarantee Concession $80   $13.34
GF Guarantee Junior $40   $6.67
GF Guarantee Country $80   $13.34

If you are a demon seat home member, it would be 50 bucks cheaper to upgrade to a redlegs home membership rather than take out a GFG.

That wouldn't happen - when the number of memberships with the GF guarantee have been sold each year, it would put up the 'Sold Out' sign on that option.

I think its the weekly/monthly direct debit amount option... so 6 months @ 20.84 = 125.04

I apologise for being pedantic, but seeing 'sprewking' and 'sprewk' is rather disconcerting as it is so close to another word which means 'vomit' and 'vomiting'.

Try using 'spruik' and 'spruiking' from hereon and I'll feel less nauseous.

Not only that but once the "GF guarantee" packages sell out, there will only be a handful of tickets left over for the rest of the membership base to go into a ballot for GF tickets should the Demons make it.

Finals/GF ticket access is the main reason I switched back to AFL Membership a couple of years back.

It just nice that we can even talk about a possible GF now, with credibility.  Bad days are forgotten.

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin
