Pavlich giving Chip a bath early!

Shocking miss there from Mayne though.

Worst umpiring call ever!

The umpires are out of control.

Usual umpire Hawthorn bias helps the Hawks to the lead.

Fyfe clearly not right. Ross should play him deep forward to try and get some value out of him.

I actually think his brain isn't fast enough

That and even his short kicks have a touch of up and under about them.

Umpires 2

Dockers 2

Hawks 2

I'm still going for the Hawks. I work in Fremantle and am working GF day, couldn't handle a Freo and Eagles GF.

That first reversal by the ump was disgraceful and changed the momentum.

Just wrong

Yes it did but Hawks played the better footy in the last 8 minutes. What's done is done, Freo need to get over it pretty quickly otherwise the game could be out of reach by half time.

Mayne would be one of the most overrated players in the league IMO.

Lyon destroying Freo with a total misunderstanding of how to play Hawthorn.

He's pushing players back deep into defence and allowing them to control the ball further up the ground. They are chipping it around with no pressure then finding the gaps to move forward & score.

This guy was rated the best coach in the AFL by many, he's an amateur tonight.

You don't play Hawthorn this way, you must, must, must put pressure on the ball carrier.

Unfortunately it was obvious from the first few minutes that Freo, even though hitting the scoreboard were playing it this way, not enough pressure on the ball carrier and it's now come back and bitten them on the a....

Unless they change the plan it's game over.

Come on Rossy, show us why you get the accolades and why you are on the big bucks...

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
