Cam Pedersen: 50 games

Featured Replies

Would love for him to kick a bag of goals with Hogan.

Feels like he has been around forever and only just notching up 50. Hopefully the form stays up and he makes it to 100 in the big time.

For a guy who's only played 50 games he would have a very impressive highlights package. Some big pack marks, some bone crunching tackles and I remember a goal last year (or the one before) where he had 4 or 5 bounces down a wing vs GWS and slotted it from 50.

I think there was an article last year saying he was completing all of this while still working part time at Bunnings supporting his young family.

Great work and congratulations Cam!

My son is a North supporter and he was very happy when North offloaded Cam to us. He said he was overweight and lazy. My son now retracts that statement and cannot believe how well he has been playing. I am so rapt for Cam that he has achieved this milestone as a Dee.

I also love a good family man and if he was slogging it out at Bunnings to support his young family and training for us then good on him.

Hope he has a great game.

Hope him and Hoges smash the contested marks up forward today. Love watching Cam bringing down those strong grabs

Thank god for Pedo and Hoges! Well done in his 50th! One of the few not disgraced!

Always love his endeavour its a shame that some in the team dont follow his example

There is nothing attractive about the way he plays his football.

He hits packs hard, he takes one grab marks and he kicks goals.

Nothing pretty, but very effective.

Well done Cam- Full Forward is your spot to lose for the remainder of 2015.

then I love 'ugly' winning footy, especially when its down & dirty.

Really hope he doesn't get dropped, Dawes has given us nothing, Pedo can have 10 bad games before he is at Dawes' level.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
