Missing in action, Frost, Petracca, Kent, Trengove.

Viney did rehab, spoke to Dave Misson probably another week.

Had a good chat to Nev Jetta, another week at least, in the hands of the doctors, he did the full session, had to wear the orange vest (no tackling), but being Nev wore it as a neck scarf.

Dawes trained strongly, said he was right to go.

McCartney said "poor pressure, selfish footy, Fremantle players allowed to do as they pleased" as he walked past me, obviously from the review.

The drills were again about stoppages and ball movement, again with more and less defenders.

Both Pedersen and Dawes joined in the ruck work with Stafford today.

Spoke to Jack Fitzpatrick, embracing the role as a FB, enjoying it, still feels the urge to go on the lead now and again, said he still has long way to go and has lots to still learn.

ANB again pulled up really well from his first senior VFL game, looking forward to the weekend to improve on last week.

No signs whatsoever of breaking into any recognisable team during the drills, all mixed up, and when they broke into forward/mids/defence at the end, no surprises, everyone where they should be.....(McKenzie again with the backs).

Any questions feel free.

Got a great picture which will be on Twitter of a new angle on the Jones/Brayshaw goal kicking comp, will be on Twitter Demonpk

Thanks Saty, any inkling that Fitzpatrick may get a call up? How did Watts train?

No and as per usual, some of the stuff he does makes you wish we would see more of it in games

As I said only thing I could probably be sure about is Dawes will be back, (according to him)

When Misson said another week for Viney, does he mean another week and then bring him back through the VFL or straight into the best 22?

Thanks Saty.

Viney was flying around the oval doing laps, don't think he would reappear in VFL, think they just want the extra week to get him back up again

Thanks for the update. I'm glad we're working on stoppages - we were smashed last week, and I noticed in the stats after the game in the HUN that Freo kicked 6 of their goals from stoppages, we kicked none! We're also 11th for clearances (Swans No. 1) and 17th for Centre Clearances (Swas No. 6) according to the AFL website....

I know you love giving Salem a hard time about Arsenal but he would have to be happy with them. Also is he clear of the knock last week and will he play??

I thought behind Tommy Mac, viney was our best player before his injury, he'd really stepped it up a notch, would have been so handy in the crows game, even against the tigers, a bull like that is perfect for wet weather footy

It sounds like he played well in the VFL on the weekend, hopefully he can continue this upward trend and make his Melbourne debut this year.

He usually tells me to do something involving sex and travel (politely of course, for anybody from the Club reading this) when I wind him up, he did the whole session, he's fine. He would have preferred the Premiership but he is looking forward to the Cup Final

ANB is like Brayshaw just looks a footballer, the other one I hope stays on the list is King, if they can build him into a ruckman, his foot skills are excellent

I hope McKenzie went on a road trip out to the country with a bag full of Sherrins this week. Bloke needs to find a barn with a huge door and practice kicking a ball against it !!

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025.
