GAME DAY - Meet the Fockers

Is Pavlich done?

Hope so that would make them two down - well done Garland.

Maybe we should ask Pedo to take another one out - he can cop a week for the team

Looking at the AFL Stats on the mobile app we are being beaten but i wouldn't say smashed.

Big 3rd. Quarter so important. Get the crowd up.

I love JKH but he needs to take the first option more.

Garlett has been terrific, Brayshaw looks the goods and the umpires must have got terrific odds on Fremantle.

The terrific odds were on us actually $6.80 on Betfair

Freo killing us in he centre clearances, Fyfe and Mundy doing as they please.

Our back 6 is doing well and out major asset this year.

Mids getting killed.

We could get blown out here with Garls a head knock, Hoges has a leg issue and Garls was stretching the hammy out before his last goal after a strong lead. Jones has also had a couple of times doubled over.

Watts the least effective player in the ground at the half.

Nice to see Garlett taking advantage of his opportunity. Best on for us so far for mine. I just can't bring myself to call him Jeffy though.

Tyson, Jones and Cross have all had plenty of it, but the disposal through the middle has really lacked composure. More rushed kicks than we've seen in the dry this year, that is probably a product of the opposition though.

Seriously this sort of [censored] is getting old. Just [censored]. off.

Are you talking about Watts or Wunders?

serious mate?

He has been creating contests, and spoiling etc.

Don't decide before the game even starts that Watts is doing bad things, because it clouds your view when the game actually starts.

agree... i think he has been having a go

would like to see McKenzie on fyfe

Surely was the only reason he was picked. He gives us nothing else.

Interesting stat, Fyfe has had 18 possessions for negative 29 metres gained. Is he really hurting us? Unable to watch.

Also has 9 clearances and is going at 85% efficiency. Yep, he's hurting us.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
