GAME DAY - Meet the Fockers

Wow that's a relief....

GARLAND KICKED A SET SHOT GOAL!!!!

So did Garlett :)

What have we done to the umpires? Absolute rubbish.

The same old midfield rubbish, smashed in the centre clearances,

getting smashed in inside 50's and of course on the

scoreboard.

Wow we're diabolical,

What the..

Jesse Hogan just got the softest free kick you will ever see.

Freo are the in form side in the league and undefeated. We are coming from a long way back.

Get a grip.

We settled well after a bad start

The scoreboard could be worse. The first 10-15 minutes showed how far behind the Dockers we are, but we have settled a little and we are still in the contest.

We need to tidy up the disposal and stop the easy centre clearances though, as giving them easy ball forward will only result in us getting smashed.

Freo defence up the field as we are coming from full back is incredible...forcing us sideways back etc....

My god, that's what's known as a footballing lesson! Hard to not be impressed by Fremantle, the unrelenting pressure is something to behold. But ... how long can they keep it up?

Clearances 15 - 5
Inside 50s 19 - 6

That margin is extremely flattering for us.

Gee Roos getting animated at huddle

We are being fyfed in the centre clearances

Freo clearly best side in the league... anything under 10 goals is a win

I'd agree with that.

Very true, however it shows that there is plenty of scope for improvement in our boys, and IF we can make that happen then hopefully we can put some scoreboard pressure on them.

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG after a dismal performance in Gather Round to face the reigning dual Premiers Brisbane. What do expect to see from the Dees today?

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
