Casey Scorpions v Williamstown @ Casey Fields

I can leave it to the professional KC now

Cheers for the updates MNY, if you still have time there is nothing wrong with putting up your thoughts alongside KC. It's much appreciated.

JKH of to a good start this term. Been busy. Have not seen many Melbourne players watching. Dunn's here. That's all I've seen. Seen Ben Matthews and Rawlings

Brayshaw continuing to dominate possession as Gawley soccers off the ground for a goal.

Great to see Gawley promoted to the Seniors. Has all the attributes.

maybe their last opportunity to get away for the weekend before a hard tiring season.... freshen up for Rnd 1. would hope to see seniors in attendance during VFL season.

JKH snaps after some good work by Brayshaw in a pack.

like this

KC. My first time watching Casey. I'd be a little disappointed as Williamstown is sticking with them and perhaps even outplaying them. What are your thoughts? They just scored after a Kent mistake. A few typical Melbourne errors creeping in. Dropped marks and missed targets by hand and foot.

Scorps. 4.4.28

Williamstown 3.8.26

And that's half time: Casey Scorpions lead 4.4.28 to Williamstown 3.8.26

Goals Brayshaw Gawley Kennedy-Harris Smith

I think Mark Stevens had the good mail when he tweeted ~

@Stevo7AFL: Jeremy Howe looks a lock for R1 .. Trained well today .. Get through Mon and he's in .. Bernie Vince in VFL tomorrow, less likely

So how is Howe a "lock" to play against the Suns when he hasn't played in a practice match?

Vandenberg is out there and had a good 2nd quarter. I think he will play next week. Gut feel.

Best players for the half:

Smith, vince, Brayshaw and JKH

It’s Game Day and the Demons have made the long trip west to take on Fremantle tonight at Optus Stadium. Can Melbourne make it two from two to start the season, and what are you hoping to see from the Dees under the lights in Perth?

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.

The compromised AFL fixture will get another test this week with the first lot of teams getting a bye after only two matches. Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?
