You can't get Motor Neurone from the environment. It is a genetic condition passed down by your parents or grandparents.

what environment cannot effect & damage our genes, Wrong.

"Breathing bad air over a period of time can drop the bodies immune system". What does that mean exactly ?? It's meaningless gibberish or are you maybe an immunologist ?

In any case MND has nothing to do with the immune system its about the electrical signals from the brain to the muscles.

This is a very silly and vague generalization. You may as well say "they all drove Japanese cars" must be something in the upholstery.

Did you actually go inside the junction oval buildings at all during the 80's & 90's?

Some parts of it were an absolute disgrace in terms of Health and safety.

And that is a fact. I went there fairly regularly as i lived very close.

Decomposing possums were very common as well as droppings.

It was a dodgy environment and the fact that so many from that era have been affected concerns me, but feel free to throw barbs.

My opinion won't change.

Well its obvious to everyone that your opinions won't change - a bit like climate change deniers & those that think the moon landing was faked..

If I get cancer I'll tell my oncologist he' hasn't got a clue - its all due to the decomposing possums & their droppings.

I don't see how anyone can speculate about causation when it is not clear what the problem is. It is by no means certain that it's cancer- there are numerous other possibilities

Bailey would have spent most of his time in the vault. A lovely clean portable away from the asbestos or any other post ww2 materials that weren't required to have testing.

Dazz and his missus were on TV tonight interviewed on that terrible Current Affair. Lump is benign, cyst only. Phew!

That is good news. Typical from Ed though. Even if you've sold your story to a TV network I believe you still retain the right to disclose your health information as you see fit.

Jolly Good!

I bet he's glad that's off his mind.

Hopefully he can get back to renovating melodrama asap as the world needs more shows dedicated to the tedium and conjecture of the construction and decorating process.

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
