Jack Viney signs on till 2017

Great stuff Jack. You are a true 'heart and soul' Demon, and should be proud of that fact.

Lovin' it. Good on you, Jack.

His kicking is fine

You will note the entire teams skills dropped off 20% this season as a result of tiring during the first season of Roos demanding gameplan that requires 2 way running

When players get tired, skills fall away

Love the kid but if you don't think his kicking needs work then you haven't been watching. The 20% and tiring stuff is a copout at best and bulldust at worst

He strikes me as the sort of kid who will never stop trying to improve though

I love this kid but... Can we please fix his kicking!

Really great to hear a positive dees news story.. Cmon 2015

Why stop with Viney? There are thirty others that need fixing as well.

Great stuff from Jack. He's got a great attitude and really cares about the club. Looking forward to the next phase of his development.

Disagree about his kicking but thanks for trying to howl down my opinion champ...

Regardless of the toll the season may have taken I believe his kicking needs work.

You've broken the record for the world's thinnest skin if you think that was a howl down. It was a regulation disagreement; if you're struggling with it, forums aren't for you.

It's also ironic that it was hogan's heroes that you replied to - no man has been howled down more than him in recent times.

I think his old man would have been very disapointed if he didn't re-sign. Seriously though aside from his kicking skills he is one of our best prospects to become an A grader.

Jack Viney will only ever be a one club player.

Those inclined to put their nuts on line for such things would/could do so pretty safely on this !!

give him the captaincy already

Not a fan of the Simpsons?

Big fan of Jessica

Well done Jack. Jack is going to be very up and down in performance until his body maturity and endurance capacity catches up with the manic way he plays. I too also think this affects his disposal and decision making and this will improve with time. In three years he will be an absolute jet and we will see more and more snippets of this along the way.

Summed up nicely :)

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
