The Brownlow

More like too much coffee ...

I was not aware there was such a thing

Stoked for Tyson. Was it 2 or 3 BOG's? And Roos did this in ONE off-season. Bring on trade week folks!!!

So, that unnamed recruited... you wanna stand up now?

We should applaud Roos & co as we can see the changes in the list will pay off... With new culture

Depends on the coffee. For certain kinds of instant coffee, any amount is too much. For jazza, I guess you can never get too many moccachinos ...

tyson racked up 12 brownlow votes.Kelly none. Id say that deal was pretty good.

Interesting that neither watts or nic nat got any votes either. Still cant believe vince got the 3 votes on the queens bday game.

Be cautious, such public mishaps may impact on your chances for "higher honours".

Yes good point. I must be aware of my pees and ques, as it were. It is such a burden being linked to the Royals.

Good to see a clean cut humble young bloke take out the Charlie.

Seeing a guy like Priddis win the Brownlow gives me hope that a player like Nate Jones can be a contender when we start winning some games. Statiscally, they had pretty similar seasons.

One would have thought Jack would have scored at least one vote in round one V St Kilda.

Bernie picked up 25 disposals, kicked a goal and laid 8 tackles. Maybe not so surprising.

Humour me for a moment:

Tyson gets 11 votes in one year and has only played 35 career games. No GWS or Suns player goes close to that. (Prestia 13 votes 73 games)

Jack Macrae at the Dogs 10 votes this year (34 career games) also very impressive. Picked one spot ahead of Oliver Wines (why oh why didn't we pick him!?! ......Macrae that is.)

Scully 10 votes over his career of 86 games (at $45,000 per game).

Well done Mr Tyson lets hope you win it one day (after MrJones).

He's well under the radar Robbie 57, for a whole bunch of reasons, including the suggestion from the beginning of the year that we got the bad end of the whole Kelly/GWS trade. His profile is going to grow exponentially when we start winning more and better. A gun, and he attracts votes.

Well done Nate Jones 16th best in the league , but not AA!!

To be fair though, almost everyone ahead of him was a midfielder..

Not that I give a toss about that absurd award

Hey lets dish out 3 votes out of 44 players and have the friggin umpires decide who gets them

awesome system

Deliberate irony? I think you'll find "clean cut" generally means someone with short, straight hair.

But I know what you mean and agree with your sentiment.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
