And here I was thinking it couldn't get any worse

One of the young ruckmen going around???

That's possible.

There has to be more to that deal. We wouldn't get back those picks unless we had a need for them.

I have got it, we get Brock and Cheney.

We got back 40 and 53

WTF? I cant believe it surely we have someone in mind for 40.

Oh well Nothing much has changed still have to watch JW JT and JG running around

Surely we could have changed pick 23 into something for the midfield

We can't use two more picks!?

40 for Lowden or Merrett or MEMBREY?

Anyone please Demons!!!!!!!

So not as bad as initially thought (pressed post button too quickly!)

We did get JKH with pick 40 last year I guess...

Awful deal. Second rounders are underrated. What are we playing at?

Something late......... hang on

5 minutes to get that done. I would like both those deals you mentioned to be done.

Prima facie it seems overs for Frost, but I'm encouraged by the fact that the powers that be at Melbourne really wanted him. They have my trust and support.

Something late......... hang on

And......... its gone?

No time left

what a disaster

I would cop that result.

may have only gone to the draft with 2 live picks anyway...

Watts to improve next year, hey? Maybe he'll run instead of jog to a contest for a change.

maybe give him just the centre square, so he can jog like a basketball player, receive & dish off, won't have to run much.

just got to stay outside the pack & feed off

That is possibly the most idiotic ending I could have imagined. What the HELL are we thinking? Trading our second rounder for 2 late picks (when we only have 3 list spots) for a player we could have gotten in the PSD.

What happened to the riddlers "source"?

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
