Cook and maybe Gysberts were surprise selections. All the rest were taken pretty much exactly where they were expected to go.

Then we threw them all in the 22 for every game of the season, with no support, no quality mature players around to carry the load, no good mature players to teach and lead them, and wondered why they didn't develop properly.

Have a look at how Salem and JKH have been handled this year, THAT'S proper development.

We have Tyson who struggles with a tag and a bunch of draftees who cant get double digits in posession counts. Wouldnt say it was an overwhelming draft last year. Tyson is a bandaid solution when compared to Josh Kelly and now we are looking at doing it again. Our past draft failures were a result of BP targetting the wrong type and the game changing.

Roos might know something we don't. Would you trade pick 2 for say someone like Shields? Of course you would.

I trust Paul Roos. He is not just after quick short term fixes. He said himself after the game that this is a 3-5 year project.

We didn't pay overs for anyone who was a short term fix, like Cross or Vince.

Tyson is a long term prospect and was a great trade.

First of all I think Tyson will be an absolute star. We obviously have a good relationship with GWS but from im hearing Dylan shiel and the likes are close to re signing? He would be the only player id willingly give up pick 2 for.

Paul Roos last year said it was traded to get in a experience big bodied mid like Tyson because the top end of the draft were only small mid midfielder like Billings Kelly and Aish.
