Nah sorry lads, Petracca is as good as gone...unless we lose tommorow which would be a nightmare

Well, at least the latter part of that comment was right.

Said in the other thread Salem hasn't shown much except kick a match winner against essendon. Other then that he has not shown why he was worthy of pick 9 especially the likes of Luke Dunstan Lewis Taylor were picked later and made huge contribution for their side.

He looks so out of depth we have gifted him games when the likes of Jimmy Toumpas were dropped after 1 or 2 games. Yes he missed first half of Pre Season but taylor missed the whole chunk with a broken foot.

Toumpas copped it last year. He showed alot more then Salem has done for his first year.

We'll get pole-axed by WCE this week and by Norf the week after. 8% at least. The spoon is ours. Lock it in.

I believe it's the club and its development program and not the players fault - how many times do we lay blame at these players and/or our recruiters.

So many top ten draft picks that haven't developed, too coincidental IMO.

He got smashed a couple of times yesterday, then bounced back up and was back at the coalface in seconds.

If you can't see it, good luck to you.

Salem doesn't lose one on ones. He usually even neutralises two on ones. When he's over his thyroid problems and isn't such a fatty, he will be fine. He's a footy player and he can kick it.

Thats your comeback? He got smashed a couple of times and got up!? Good god what a pathetic and idiotic excuse!

Of course he is gonna get smashed is football FFS!!! I have seen Nicholson, Terlich, Riley etc get smashed and put their head over the ball. Not once did I question Salem effort to go in hard.

But he has played 11 games for one game where as a half forward he has only managed to get two digits disposals.

Fact is he is struggling to win the ball and looks sluggish and cant run out games.

Jimmy Toumpas copped it alot more last year then what Salem has showed. Im gonna put it down to lack of Pre Season. But so were Dunstan Billings and Taylor.

Fair dinkum Machsy if your rating of a players talent is based on getting crunched and getting back up again then maybe its you that needs all the luck in the world FMD!

James Strauss can kick it too.. What are you saying?

Look I have faith that Salem will eventually become a good player for us. But if its lack of fitness he shouldn't be playing senior footy.

I'd also add the two times Jimmy was dropped this year he had 16 disposals and a goal and the second time he had 18 touches, so he wasn't playing badly at all, Salem has been given a lot of chances, Jimmy has been a little bit stiff imo

Exactly SPR

I think Salem will be a good player but I think it will take at least 3 years to build up the tank of a midfielder, especially with the interchange cap it's going to take longer for young players

Yep agree, I have a feeling its his work ethic/1% work ethic that get him the games (almost like rooseys favorite as he does the right things (e.g. shepherds/blocks etc).. but if you cant get the ball.. I really thought toumpas was unlucky..

I was driving, but didn't have to say much to your idiotic post anyway.

Still don't really. You just don't understand much about the game.

Good luck.

Clueless as usual you are Machsy.

A pathetic response as always when proven time and time again your out of your depth on the general knowledge of the game.

Keep going though me and majority of the posters here get a good laugh out of you.

Good luck.

MUST, MUST get this kid.

Absolutely.

Bid bodied mid that we desperately need. Would compliment Tyson and Viney for the next 10 years.

Petracca is imo where stronger would have been without the broken leg

Stringer's a pretty good comparison. Didn't see as much of Stringer in the midfield due to his injury, but I'd imagine the playing style would be fairly similar.

and certainly the type of player we need, he will go into the middle hit the ball hard and win clearances, but he can go forward and kick multiple goals and is capable of almost playing as a key position player, I see him as a walk up start for our best 22

I agree. I'd be looking to start him up forward to give our moribund fwd line a bit of spark. He can roll up into midfield from there.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE
