Sounds like they are doing well. Step through the vision, explain what the thought process was, and highlight how quickly it changed from being a 50:50 ball to "oh crap" brace myself then play on. All happened so quick and at no time did his actions indicate he was bumping someone, just reacting to the bounce of the ball and proximity of the other players.

AFL case is that he turned into Lynch's path at the last second

Why the F do the AFL need a case?

Exactly what I was thinking. Why is the AFL set up as a prosecutor. Surely that is not appropriate. The panel should be just trying to discover the truth.

Gleeson says he could have avoided contact by pushing off his left foot and getting out of the road.

Yeh, cause that's really what you want your players to be doing, getting out of the way

Nathan Schmook: Running through multiple angles of the incident. Controversial case, clearly, being made here.

I'd say!

Well that's not a reasonable alternative at all because it is unpalatable for a footballer to 'get out of the road' when the football is there to be won.

Gleeson now proposing he could have spun out of the collision.

Holy [censored]. This can not be serious.

Agree. He could also have done a Matrix style lean back, slowing down time, allowing him to sum up the situation before leaping up over Lynch with a triple somersault in the air while landing on his feet behind Georgiou.

yeah, spin and then you would have no idea what hit you. His point is so stupid he could be cunningly arguing for the defence.

Excuse me?

He should take his eyes off the collision and expose his back and the back of his head?

What is this nonsense?

Things are looking positive, if thats all the prosecution has got!

If we are all being honest Jack should have done a quick front flip to ensure all contact was avoided...

We should start recruiting from the AFL's pool of legal counsel...

This is good if that's the best the other side can come up with. Tribunal will look like massive fools if they uphold the charge based on this garbage.
