There are clubs absolutely desperate for a KPF it makes the currency of that pick extremely high for the right club. Think Freo, Collingwood, Carlton for a few, Freo and Collingwood have top quality mids who they would have to trade is they were serious.

If we lose Frawley we will definitely need one ourselves from this crop.

No, very different. His exposed form was excellent and you may note that I've always been pro Tyson and have seen him as being a future A grader within the next couple of seasons. A few had a go at me for that.

The players listed above (except Steven) are at best 2nd rounders. If we have a top 3 pick it will want to be for an A grader given that it will be for a KPP this year. Last year the trades were for mids, some teams are desperate for a KPF. To give them that they will need to pay overs.

I guess my point is that by virtue of an unnatural and artificial depth of talent, there are high picks there without much exposed form, and if at another club we may rate them much much higher, but at this stage it's hard to judge.

Tyson was in a similar boat. Injury and more-physically-developed mids ahead of him, meant that he hadn't had a chance to show much, although obviously astute eyes saw something.

Callum SInclair would be a good get that wouldn't break the bank, i reckon you are right and our early pick might entice a side like freo to offer up a decent deal, i believe we would be in Tex walkers ear also so that's a possibility

Membrey was a sub-190cm manchild forward as a junior.

With such a height disadvantage and not possessing blistering speed, I can't see him making it.

He wasn't like Rockliff, who was a FF but had an innate ability to win the contested footy and make good decisions, and he has not built the tank Rockliff has.

He was a lead and mark, or contested mark player. Not amazing when the ball hit he deck.

When everyone is skilled and 195-200cm that becomes a lot harder.

Hasn't been able to get a game because where would he fit in amongst Franklin, Tippet, Goodes and Reid, that and tall forwards take longer to develop. I think if he had an opportunity at a club screaming for forwards he might do well. Definitely wouldn't pay more then what he is was drafted at but would have to worth having a look at. I think there will be more then a few clubs interested in him come trade week

We should be looking at EVERY player at Sydney and taking anyone who they can't afford.

As a priority I would try to look at another tall, be it a key forward/defender/ruck.

I know that these are always the hardest thing to get, but with Clark gone and Frawley possibly gone, we need to bolster up our KP stocks.

As for ROK, if he was desperate to keep on playing, we should be able to get him on a 1 year deal like Cross, with a view to him progressing into an assistant coaching role, essentially starting as an onfield assistant.

With the lack of a second runner, and young teams struggling to organise themselves onfield, I think it significantly increases the onfield value of wily veterans with good communication skills.

If he plays out his days at Casey, I'd still be happy to have someone like him drilling good habits into the kids.

At the expense of a Nicholson, Blease or Tapscott, I'd be fairly happy to have ROK.

exactly, & RO'K can play forward, small or 3rd tall, run thru the Midfield, add run from defence; or help out at Casey. Ideal onfield situation in our current position for One year.

He gets some nice $$$$$ for a season, & a few more games; But more importantly, He can really help to make a difference to one of the AFL's original teams at a time when it really matters.

we need as much toplevel culture help as we can get.

I see what your saying. We have a number of players that would get that deal done, if its individual or combo.

However that particular deal is not attractive for us at all.

Hoges isn't really in that category of unknown/untried. He dominated the VFL goal kicking as an 18 year old and is rated among the top 4 full fwd prospect players. He played pretty well in his nab cup as well.
