A POPULAR dwarf entertainer said he was set on fire during an AFL club's Mad Monday celebrations.

Blake Johnston, who performs as entertainer and wrestler Mr Big, said he was hired by a football star to play at the end-of-season party in Melbourne.

He claimed he was set alight while talking to a group of players.

The club, which the Herald Sun has chosen not to name, has said it is investigating.

Alf Stewart posting about flaming dwarves.

I'm in the wrong thread again.

There's something every year with us... must say though, loved Nate Jones and Jack Watts' costumes

It is us.

And its disgraceful behaviour, bu8t not surprising since most football players are moronic bogans.

Whoever is responsible should be sacked with no payout (hopefully its Pedersen).

Unless you know this for sure, please don't make these types of accusations.

Trust this club to blow up a Roos deal because somebody set a dwarf on fire.

Is there any proof yet.. Yes the majority are bogans.. Highly paid bogans and its the little people that get the short end of the stick...

He'll get a new three year deal.

Can he play in the mid field?

Can he play in the mid field?

Too tall probably

If they combined it with that other favourite activity involving dwarves, would it be "flame throwing"?

okay, its horrible.

but when i heard i laughed

They should never have put Randy Newman and Mr Big on the same bill!

Was St Kilda. Disgusted at Hutchinson's label - "the dwarf". Took him 5 minutes to mention the guy's name.

Dare say he'll get in trouble for that

I remember when Fevola and his dildo were the biggest story going around. Now thanks to Essendon being a disgraceful drug cheating club stories like these seem to be to no big deal.

New St Kilda theme song... poor little bugger I hope he got the offending player in the Boston Crab!!!

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

Melbourne’s slow starts have been a troubling theme for a while. Against the Suns, they started slowly in both of their games, they trailed by 5.7.37 to 0.1.1 at quarter time at Peoples First Stadium in Round 16. This season, the story has remained the same and if the Demons fail to shake off this issue against the unbeaten Gold Coast Suns, they will be in serious danger of capitulating once again in their Easter Sunday showdown.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
