To me, he looks like some sort of half-way anorexic Calvin Klein model. That's fine if that's what you're going for, but it's not the ideal footy build. For god's sake do some crunches Jack.

Plus just because you suddenly gain size, does not always mean you know how to play with it.

I was extremely lean in my junior days of football and right up till I was about 25. In about a year I went from 82kg to 104kg and it almost took me 2 years to learn how to use it.

He needs to shrug that light frame mentality and start throwing his weight around.

Anytime I've gained size I've known exactly how to play with it. That was with minimal coaching too.

Can take a few years to understand how to use added weight as an advantage.. normally comes with smashing a few packs, looking round, and seeing everyone else on the ground whilst your still standing..

That's pretty much it. So until you do that and do it well, your never going to know.

here it is again.. what in the name of god does my personal strength (or lack of it) have to do with ANYTHING? Are you suggesting it is fine to bag him as long as you are a tough guy yourself?? That doesn't make ANY SENSE. I wasn't lucky enough to be born with the physical gifts to get me to the AFL. 99.5% of us weren't. BUT WE AREN'T TALKING ABOUT ME, ARE WE? We are talking about Jack Watts, taken at number 1, paid hundreds of grand, spent years with elite coaches and facilities supporting him, defended by his supporters and colleagues for years and he does NOT give his all for the jumper. Daniel Nicholson can't kick - or am I not allowed to mention that unless I am some sort of laserfoot myself. Get a clue

Sorry been busy, that is my whole point the majority of posters on here or 99% of the general population will have no idea what it takes both physically and mentally to be an AFL footballer......I was just being sarcastic in my comments to you,

Agree Watts hasn't exactly set the footy world on fire, but he also isn't alone in that, some players take time to fully develop, Bryce Gibbs, Tom Hawkins....Kreuzer who was touted as the best young ruckman ever (of course pre NikNat) is still not tearing games apart......so I am willing to give him a bit of slack, although he also frustrates me during games as well.......but I still retain some optimism that he may be nearing the corner, although it is looking more and more like that corner will be in another team's colours which is a shame

it's not all about being disappointed in his actual output - it's his pathetic attitude that is the source of the chagrin
