It's just sunk in we are gonna lose this, wow...

wtf... no pride in the jumper

I flicked it over to the Richmond game and I turn it back and I've missed the first two minutes. In this time GWS have kicked two. What the hell happened?

Noi more excuses for Trengove

He has been pathetic again today, and he must dominate the last quarter or he can hand back his pay packet

Can you please be our coach. He listens to you.

We bottomed out when Richmond did, they are currently playing great football against Hawthorn whilst we have gone backwards from our worst.

Blatant cheating

Whatever it takes to get GW$ a win

I'm sticking to my guns here. Trengove's been good. Get off his back.

I fear our worst is yet to come!

Without seriously watching it (and the Norf non-effort last week), just glimpses as it's just not worth the effort anymore, our opponents are in the clear by at least 3 to 4 meters almost every time they receive. Meaning they have ample time to make their next disposal/choice/option including kicking for goal. We just give them too much space to work in and don't pressure them out of it often enough. This gives our opponents too much possession early in the match and boosts their confidence ten fold from the get go.

Unable to close check an opponent when we don't have the ball means they are able to run it coast to coast either from the middle or from the kick out with little or no pressure. Not putting in the hard work early means we are chasing tail all day as well. Not in all cases i'm sure there are exceptions but too few to matter. Having too many slackers just deflates the others who are playing a close checking game and working hard to get their own possessions.

I'm not sure why so many are unwilling to close check an opponent once we lose possession (which is alot of the time given our woeful disposal) but those who are unwilling or incapable of doing so must be weeded out and delisted/traded pronto.

This could end up being up to 10 to 15 players off the current senior list but in the end this is reality for us right now.

From what i can garner Craig is pretty uninspiring in his match day selection and structure, as well as whatever it is he's preaching on game day.

I'd say the only chance this club has of ever becoming an AFL competitive football club from here is a new experienced premiership coach and a massive clean out of the present list while keeping a core (8 to 12 or so) who have shown they are willing, capable and/or have super potential to develop.

We really shouldn't have so obviously tanked to get our priority pick at the end of this year...

Playing like this, people will definitely get suspicious.

All over.....we suck......officially.

Grimes the turnover king.

Well we have officially hit rock bottom.

Congratulations Melbourne. Just when you don't think I could feel more disgusted at this club, here it is.

[censored] you Melbourne. Just [censored] you.

We're going to lose this now. We'll be the only team to lose to GWS this whole year. I think the 2013 Melbourne team is the worst I can remember watching play in decades. I'm ashamed to be a Melbourne supporter and member today. The club has failed, and even with AFL assistance we're going to struggle to be competitive, let alone win our next flag. I honestly thought 6 years ago when the rebuild had started that we were building towards out next flag and I'd finally get to see one in my life... how wrong I was. We are worse now than ever, and there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

I have lost all hope today and it's very depressing. How did this come to be?

It's quite sad how some of the supporters on here are blaming the umpires. The umps are the people who have kept this from a thrashing, not the players.

I am going to go back on the Kent comment though. Easily his best game. Cannot kick from a set shot though.

Peter Jackson says all they can sell us is hope....I don't anyone will be buying it after this final humiliation

There is NO talk on the field.

No one is standing up and saying PUSH HARDER. all heads down.

Cowards with no honour.

Few can stand tall today.

Pathetic excuse for the word football and club today.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
