You have to rebuild to win games.

Rebuilding takes time. Otherwise you get into our current situation...

Bailey, rebuilding from Daniher, axed 2 years later because of short-term performance

Neeld, rebuilding from Bailey,... see where this is going?

In a constant state of axing, hiring, rebuilding and then having supporters complaining about how we have to rebuild, want to axe the current coach and hire a new coach who will have to rebuild, and want short-term wins only to be complains about this again in 2 years

Honestly laughable

My point is about using the phrase rebuild..not sacking people. Rebuild is associated with failure at our club. I sometimes wonder what the MFC jumper means anymore, stuff all in the modern game that's for sure.

Bit melodramatic.

You can't have a bloke leading a team who goes missing at the first sign of decent opposition, Had a flutter on keiran jack for the brownlow at 21 dollars, feeling pretty good about that just now :)

Haha nice.

Voss must have said something during that break, he alot more active.

Turned it over a couple of times - they are playing like us: rushed!

It was bound to happen at some point, they are really struggling the lions, would have to assume voss has as much pressure on him as Neeld does.

Maslow's dee-luded's Hierarchy of Needs

... thanks mate

http://www.simplypsychology.org/maslow.html

Here is a simple rundown of what it says >

Maslow wanted to understand what motivates people. He believed that individuals possess a set of motivation systems

unrelated to rewards or unconscious desires.

Maslow (1943) stated that people are motivated to achieve certain needs. When one need is fulfilled a person seeks to fulifil the next one, and so on.

The earliest and most widespread version of Maslow's (1943, 1954) hierarchy of needs includes five motivational needs, often depicted as hierachical levels within a pyramid.

This five stage model can be divided into basic (or deficiency) needs

(e.g. physiological, safety, love, and esteem) and growth needs (cognitive, aesthetics and self-actualization).

One must satisfy lower level basic needs before progressing on to meet higher level growth needs. Once these needs have been reasonably satisfied, one may be able to reach the highest level called self-actualization.

Every person is capable and has the desire to move up the hierarchy toward a level of self-actualization.

Unfortunately, progress is often disrupted by failure to meet lower level needs. Life experiences including divorce and loss of job may cause an individual to fluctuate between levels of he hierarchy.

Maslow noted only one in a hundred people become fully self-actualized because,,,, our society rewards motivation primarily based on esteem, love and other social needs.

The original hierarchy of needs five-stage model includes:

1. Biological and Physiological needs - air, food, drink, shelter, warmth, sex, sleep.

2. Safety needs - protection from elements, security, order, law, limits, stability.

3. Belongingness and Love needs - work group, family, affection, relationships.

4. Esteem needs - self-esteem, achievement, mastery, independence, status, dominance, prestige, managerial responsibility.

5. Self-Actualization needs - realizing personal potential, self-fulfillment, seeking personal growth and peak experiences.

# IMO, the club has grown into a situation where it has become used to providing for Level 4's,,, & is stuck there. And it has lost the ability to provide for the Base levels 1, 2, & 3, for supporters coming in...

I think these supporters needs are different to the Lvl 4's,,, & prefer a more casual atmosphere & surroundings, & a place to Mix amongst like minded supporters, but the club does Not provide for this.

I think this explains the failure to grow the club over the last couple of decades; & Interestingly, I also see a parallel to our inability to have a good success ratio of developing our young players to their max. (some do,, the vast majority don't).....

The Home Base Levels have all been missing........ for our supporters & for our young players coming thru.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
